Gamers tend to project themselves as the protagonist. If half of gamers were women then I would understand. But that's nowhere near the case. It's not sexist to not want to be projected as a woman. Like the game savior. What an amazing looking game. It's not just on these types of games but also jrpgs.

Bloodstained really brought these types of games back to the forefront and I am glad about that as they were what I grew up on and are enjoyable just as much as the other newer types of games. If someone who reads this hasn't played Bloodstained, get it NOW, it is excellent. Crowsworm looks legit as hell.

Bloodstained was heavily bashed upon release for its ugly graphics and questionable gameplay design decisions. Why is it recieving so much praise as of lately? It looks like a poor man's mobile castlevania sotn, and plays worse too

@@mariowario5945 Except it doesnt play worse. Its based on Aria of Sorrows ability system which means you get WAY more combat options then SOTN ever did. If you mean performance wise, a lot of the bugs have been patched out since launch. And a lot of people liked Bloodstained even on release honestly, not sure where you are getting that this was comparable to a Mighty No. 9 situation (meaning a "heavily bashed" and essentially dogshit game) - Literally nothing points to that. Not the metacritic reviews (83 out of 100 for both critic and users), not the steam reviews (very positive all time reviews on steam), Nor the positive youtube video reviews near launch - like the Completionist's video of Bloodstained etc. About 4 years later, its still receiving free content updates, and has had new characters to play, as well as a classic mode, which is a fun side mode that plays like the 8/16 bit Castlevanias. Its actually a pretty fun time all things considered. If you like SOTN even half as much as I do, I don't understand what's the point of getting mad over a new game with that formula - that has enough twists to still feel fresh.

@@skeletankmcgraw7343 it's been in development for 14+ years. Any game that takes that long to make is gonna be outdated by the time it comes out tbh, unless it's radically restructured. Raised a ton of money on Kickstarter too I feel sorry for the backers.

I want to see Rune Fencer Illyia with the graphical style of Souldiers. I really hate that the characters in Soldiers are just literal generic "warrior/mage/archer" archetypes.
