Jorge Yniguez they’re making money for the brand being advertised. The NFL doesn’t make any money off of the commercials. Plus the commercials will play the entire year AFTER the super bowl. So it doesn’t matter if the premiere was during the super bowl. People can still see the commercial elsewhere.

Actually the NFL absolutely profits from these ads, it's a complicated process but the NFL gets it's fair share of the pie. Brands invest (this year a 30 second commercial cost more than 5 million) on these ads, knowing that it will reach a whopping 100 million viewers throughout the world, it's an expensive yet effective way to reach every sort of audience.

NFL 100 year Anniversary was by far the best. Montana to Rice, Deon high stepping, Barry Sanders making everyone miss him, pairing Baker Mayfield (#1 overall draft pick) with Tom Brady (oldest QB in the league), Odel's one handed catch, etc... But I guess if you're not a fan of football, I can see how that would be boring... which begs the question why one would even watch the SB in the first place.

@velesl That's no offense, it's just wrong: there are no peoples in the world who are excited (or not excited) about ads, so it has nothing to do with nationality, it's individually different, and also depends on the ads. I'm sure you get very excited about advertising yourself when it comes to what interests you, you just don't realize it as commercials. By the way, I made this video and I am an Austrian born in Czechoslovakia.

You need a certain level of basic pop cultural knowledge to grasp these ads and enjoy it. So your selection here is biased.. because you selected some of the 'older' cultural anecdotes (BSB, lil Jon, back to the future/bumblebee/the original JP, Charlie sheen.) These were also things I was able to appreciate and why this video was good. Perhaps if it were ... I dunno... Lorde... Or... That sixtynine fellow (I don't know who children nowadays follow) then they would be as entertained as I was. Moral of the story velesl...
