Born and raised in Dallas (minus my parents military life) and I haven't been to half these places. The parking is terrible downtown, ride the train if you want to go to the JFK museum OR save your self some money watch the documentaries AND stand on the curb FOR FREE. I like the Dallas zoo, definitely a work out not a summer place Texas heat, them animals chilling in the air or shade and YOU won't see a lot of them out. THE ARBORITUEM is one of my favorite places (chaperoned my daughter's 3rd grade field trip 24 yrs ago I worked nights) and had the best nap EVER....lol yep she was embarrassed but I woke up to the smell of flowers. It truly is a beautiful place. That park is NICE, it does sit over the hwy and around Christmas it's gorgeous but again parking is the issue and if I'm not mistaken there's a night volleyball sand beach across the street. Most of the BEST places to go aren't actually "in" Dallas. Speed zone is right across the street from the bungee jumping place. Traders village, Main Event, Toyota Pavilion, Joe Pool lake, Pinstacks, Deep Elum, IT'Z, Lego land, Six Flags, Ft Worth Stockyard, Hurricane harbors, try the daiquiri shops (that New Orleans blend), ATT Center, so many places, the names escape me. COME and ENJOY true southern hospitality.

Also, there is Six Flags over Texas and Hurricane Harbor. Along with the many massive shopping districts including the amazing North Park Mall. Another thing, don’t forget about the Dallas Mavs, Texas Rangers, and Dallas Stars Hockey. There is also the Texas Motor Speedway. Tons of arcades and bowling alleys can be found, along with massive go karting tracks. Many different supercar dealerships. Golf courses. Many gyms. The Nebraska Furniture Mart Of Texas(one of the biggest furniture stores in the world). You can also find 2 Hawaiian Falls water parks. Don’t forget about the fact that Dallas is a part of DFW. A massive Metroplex. And if you’d like, stay at the Great Wolf Lodge Hotel and Waterpark, it’s huge. Also, just opened is an enormous indoor waterpark inclosed in a HUGE glass building. And if you want to take a trip here, don’t worry, we got a massive airport.

@@issac9930 as someone who actually lives in the city of dallas we see those towns as villages and fort worth as an enemy kingdome and dallas as the kingdom. we hate frisco, allen, irving and carrollton or any suburban town that surrounds the real city because they are nothing like dallas and try to steal our shine. we are actually thinking putting up as barrier up on dallas to completley seperate the suburbs and im on board.

Seems like this list is missing A LOT of really fun and cool things to do. Lots of museums. Our favorite is the Perot Museum downtown. Also there is a super cool Heard Museum and nature walk that has dinosaurs in McKinney. Plus Six Flags, Great Wolf Lodge, the Gaylord, and Texas Live to name a few. We have a video about a couple of bluebonnet festivals that happen in the spring, but also there are tons of festivals year round from art, to wine, to music, etc. Dallas and it’s surrounding cities have a lot to offer.

@@bhaupadhyayWell if you are talking Dallas proper, they missed major attractions such as Fair Park (seriously?), The West End (how do you miss this?), Deep Ellum, George Bush Library, Perot Museum, Texas Theatre, Arts District, Katy Trail, and Uptown (AA Center). But I would argue "Dallas" in this context means the DFW area, and not only the city of Dallas. So (as previous people mentioned) Six Flags, water parks (both indoor and outdoor theme parks), cowboys and ranger stadiums, Frisco station, downtown Ft worth, Irving, and Arlington all have dozens of major tourist areas that would blow #1 off this list. Leaving Fair Park alone off this list shows it's a ridiculous list.

Here's one thing you shouldn't do...drive. The streets in Dallas absolutely suck. It's no wonder every time you see a nice car they are swerving left to right at a clip of 25 to 30 miles per hour dodging manholes, potholes and any other hole not mentioned. I've been to third world countries that have better roads.
