if the Greeks and Romans did not write about the Illyrians today we would not know anything, in fact after the Roman-Illyrian wars no one is mentioned anymore. as for the Albanians, the first reference is to Arianos as a Persian satrapy near the Caspian sea and the second many years later by Anna Komneni as a people that no one knows where they came from and has overwhelmed the Greek mountains and plundered the villages. If you refer to 230bc When Quit Teuta did resist the Roman Empire as a quintessential of Illyria, Roman had to negotiate with Illyrian after long years of war, and because of that roman did expand on eastern part. In 81 Roman empires 41 were Illyrian (no one Greek!!!) Back in 1446 we have the king Gjergje Kastrioti (Skenderbeg) Presented by the Vatican as king of Illyrian and prince of Epiri, descendants of Illyrians = Pirro of the Epirit = Aleksander the Great. at the same time we had in 1400 in Morea (today Peloponnese ) Epire the population was Albanian (Arvanitas) with Gjin Blue Shpata fighting to death again the Ottoman Empire. Were were the Greeks as we never heard any resistant on both empires???

@@alleshi5 The earliest recorded Illyrian kingdom was that of the Enchele in the 8th century BC.[17] The era in which we observe other Illyrian kingdoms begins approximately at 400 BC and ends at 167 BC.[18] The Autariatae under Pleurias (337 BC) were considered to have been a kingdom.[19] The Kingdom of the Ardiaei began at 230 BC and ended at 167 BC.[20] The most notable Illyrian kingdoms and dynasties were those of Bardyllis of the Dardani and of Agron of the Ardiaei who created the last and best-known Illyrian kingdom.[21] Agron ruled over the Ardiaei and had extended his rule to other tribes as well.[22] As for the Dardanians, they always had separate domains from the rest of the Illyrians.[23] The Illyrian kingdoms were composed of small areas within the region of Illyria. Only the Romans ruled the entire region. Best of Epiri, 🇦🇱🇦🇱🇦🇱🇦🇱 always Shqiptar, Çameri, Arvanitas. As Epirot for at least past 1900 years base on my DNA test and with origins of 7200 years around Ori and Prespa territory pure Darrdaniaan Illyrian DNA. The same branch with Gjin Bus Shpata and a part of the Arvaitas DNA branch. Respect for the place and people and histor. All ended up on occupied by a fake state.

@@stav1977 We are not denying Arvanitas sacrifice, between the the Arvanitas at the time muslim or or orthodox there was a good communication and hand over power of the castles and city where many castles in Morea was token by negotiation. I have seen that the greek propaganda has pot too much hatred between Albanian / Arvanitas community by blaming people by there faith!!! Faith and believe have come and gone, created and disappear. But the origin of the people remain the same. (can be manipulated!!) Jus past 100 years my family faith has changed from: Muslim to no religion at all to some part of family believe where every they want (some muslim some orthodocs some Catholic and some no religion at all) We are not sure what will be in next 100 years. My genetic has first been 7200 year ago in Prespa and Hori with Illyrian Dardanian origin this no-one can deny that, it's proving by DNA test.
