@@johnstone9396 I’ll admit, my entire logic for possibly swapping The Guns and Beer Money was that unlike The Guns, Beer Money was an entirely TNA creation. Considering the track record TNA creative had, its a miracle Beer Money wasn’t an abject failure

For all the ups and downs TNA/Impact has had in its 20 years, there's always been 3 things that have remained consistently good. The X Division has always been the place the stars of tomorrow shine, and the car crash matches and open weight concept means that even in the most fallow periods you still get some jaw dropping entertainment. The Knockouts is consistently the best women's division on the planet (everyone else is finally catching up, but even now there's still a bunch of good going on there), and the tag team division always gets a chance to shine.

TNA's Tag Team Scene was one of my favorite parts of the show. Every team that broke up in TNA had a show stealing story behind them. Because each and every team was given more than enough time to establish themselves, both people in each Team felt like stars in their own right. It never felt out of place for someone in a Tag Team to challenge for a World Title.

Still has been recently, the North was really good, and the Good Brothers, Finn Juice are solid and there are some other decent teams still hanging about there. I don't, WWE tag team wrestling sucks. The only ones who have been treated well in recent memory are The New Day and the Usos who are both great teams, but the company just doesn't give a crap about tag team wrestling. Wish both of them stayed with Impact/TNA could have both had great singles careers and every once in a while reunited to help each other out or to fill out the tag division when needed.

TNA gets a lot of flak, deservedly so, but for a while in the mid to late-00s they consistently put out the best pro wrestling product in America. Their Tag Division was awesome, the X-Division innovated a lot of the flipping work-rate style we see as common place today, their Knockouts' division was a full decade ahead of the "Women's Revolution" in WWE, and despite former WWE guys crowding the main event picture they had some good workers like Kurt Angle, Christian, Rhyno, Sting and mixed in home grown talent like AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, Bobby Roode, Abyss, and more.
@Hyde_Hill
@Hyde_Hill 3 жыл бұрын
Yeah one of the main issues with TNA was that while the highs where higher the lows where lower. Perfectly summarized in Claire Lynch. Matches? Super. AJ, Angle, Kaz, Daniels? Super. Story? OMFG RUN!
@SadwichPunch2100
@SadwichPunch2100 3 жыл бұрын
@@Hyde_Hill I agree and disagree. I certainly agree their lows were so low. However, I disagree that storytelling was TNA's problem. Simply because I think it depends on the story. Angle vs Samoa Joe, one of the best and well told feuds of the 21st century. Team Angle vs Team Cage with AJ caught in the middle simply phenomenal. The story of Abyss and the multiple growths and character changes he went through, great. The Main Event Mafia was excellent. 3D vs the X-Division, great heel work. Watching the personal growth of guys like AJ, Daniels, Kaz, Bobby Roode, James Storm, Eric Young, Jay Lethal, Petey Williams all great. Don't get me wrong Claire Lynch, that's Katie Vick levels of bad. Still to me that was during the downfall of TNA, Dixie was becoming an on air talent, Jeff I think was already pushed out of the company cuz he got caught banging Karen Angle (now Jarrett). Hogan and Bischoff were coming in making unnecessary changes. From 2005-2011 TNA had the best wrestling program on television.

Great list, can't really argue it. Would have to believe Black Machismo and Consequences Creed are just out of the top 10

It never ceases to amaze me that TNA (successfully) gambled on doing weekly PPVs I’m the early days. There must have been a decent market for an alternative to WWE with heavy WCW vibes. It makes sense, though, in hindsight.

"The MCMG were not a TNA creation." Neither were the American Wolves. Those two had been teaming in ROH for at least 3 years already before jumping to TNA.

Very happy that Motor City Machine Guns are number 1 but what about Christopher Daniels and AJ Styles? Surely they should have made the top 10!

In the end TNA might've gone to hell but this list shows why TNA could've been the greatest (if not for Russo, Hogan and Carter). MCMG and Beer Money are so drekking awesome.

Some other Fantastic tag-teams TNA had 3live Kru, Kid Kash and Dallas, Kaz and Matt Bentley, Scott Steiner and Little Petey Pump, The Christian Coalition and all the different gimmicks Road Dogg and Billy Gunn used, and before anybody attacks me in the comments, I KNOW it's a top 10 video, i just wanted to point out some other great teams TNA had over the years, this is a good list but to me AMW is #1, i know they weren't together when TNA became really mainstream but if you never saw them do yourself a favor and look up any of their matches, they were involved in some classics.

I have a question and I hope someone can answer. I watched TNA like 10-15 years ago but did not know most of characters. There was one tag team storyline I remembered was amazing. There was a tag team champions that have rivalry with another team. They get into a brawl and 1/2 of the tag champs and 1/2 of the rival teamwere injured. So the manager at that time decided that the uninjured half of the tag champ will team with the uninjured half of the rival team to defend the championship against another team, I think that was Team Canada. And they lost the championship, but reclaimed the titles shortly after. That was when the injured peeps (former team mates) returned to challenge the champs (their other halves originally). Man, if someone can tell me which team was this. That will mean the world to me. It was amazing because it was not done in WWE and that story was so good for me. LOL. Please help.
