More TNA coming soon. AJ's run here was super important as it connected with his next couple of years. It's unfortunate that the relationship with TNA ended as it did, but Styles went on to do much greater things. What did you think of Lone Wolf AJ Styles?

I personally like this run of AJ Styles in TNA. He played the Lone Wolf character pretty well. It's kinda crazy to think that this was at the twilight of his TNA run before he finally left the company.

The "Phenomenal One" nickname perfectly fits AJ Styles. He's the guy that got me back into the WWE post-Pipebomb as I just didn't bother watching wrestling after that, but I watched his run on TNA and then comes his Royal Rumble debut at #2 which was just....Ahhhh man how dope that was to witness live. His matches with Finn Balor are some of my favorites in this modern era of wrestling, and knowing he's going to retire when his current contract is up is bittersweet but man did this guy have a hell of a career.

This angle was crucial to AJ's career. This was unquestionably the best character work of his career (up to this point) and his much maligned promo skills (and rightfully so) DRASTICALLY improved, which in hindsight is probably at least partially attributed to the fact that he stopped speaking for a while, a la Sting circa '96-'97, so when he finally did speak, it meant much more. There was one spot where James Storm (I think) confronted him, and AJ nailed him with a Pelé kick, and his hood (which was off) came on perfectly. That was awesome.

They should do this with John Cena when he turns heel but modify it of course so it isn't a cheap version of this run. like Cena should have a faction like Damien Priest, T ba,r Rea Ripley, Kevin Owens, R Truth, etc call it Cena foundation or the Menace society or something. AJ Styles is the pillar of TNA and without him, TNA would be bought out I mean tony owns TNA I guess.

Evil Ways A.J. Styles was arguably the best transitional chapter of a wrestler leaving one company in favor of another in history. Evil Ways/Lone Wolf A.J. was booked against Magnus and the entire TNA Roster of Midcard talent and was shown to be superior to all of them, A.J. made the few Main Event Talent tap out to the Calf Killer. Evil Ways/Lone Wolf A.J. Styles was the transition of an underutilized man in TNA into the leader of The Bullet Club with said Faction becoming the strongest faction in wrestling in nearly a decade. Evil Ways/Lone Wolf A.J. Styles was better than Summer of Punk especially in hindsight and with how much of cancerous tumor CM Punk is to wrestling.

AJ during this time basically played the same role that Sting played in the NWO Angle in WCW. Sting was the biggest star WCW had ever created. He stayed quiet and inactive during the 1st year of the NWO’s existence. And eventually he was the main one who led WCW in the war with the NWO. And at WCW’s biggest show of the year, Starrcade 1997, he dethroned Hollywood Hogan for the WCW World Championship. AJ was the biggest star TNA had ever created. When Aces and Eights ran took over the company, AJ stayed away from all the drama like Sting did. And eventually he became the old AJ again and at Bound For Glory 2013, he dethroned Bully Ray for the TNA World Championship.

But yet he was the face of TNA,Samon Joe another Example of TNA management being trash 🗑 and wasting another get wrestler career there. 1x TNA World Heavyweight champion,0 runs with NWA World Heavyweight Championship.
