Vamp is a curious case as I somehow get why his fight plays out like this. The Beauty and the Beast unit that usually serves as a boss are each combining three members of the previous games boss squads (the emotion of MGS3s Cobra Unit, the animal codename of MGS1s Foxhound and a weapon similar to a MGS2 Dead Cell member). Vamp is not a member of that group but rather a surviving member of Dead Cell making him Raidens unfinished business in a way similar to Ocelot being Snakes unfinished business. So it does make sense that it's Raiden who kills him after Snake removed his healing factor.

To be fair, at least Snake actually GETS to fight Vamp before Raiden shows up, even though Raiden is ultimately the one that kills him. The same could hardly be said about other boss fights listed here, for the most part.

I was surprised that the Panther King wasn't a boss fight in Conker. General Scales was also kind of the same in another game Rare made. I barely call General Scales a proper fight. If you do fight him the fight just ends. You can also just stand there and have him dance around you until the game decides to end the battle. Why didn't the Panther King just use a stack of books to hold up his table? It would work better than Conker's corpse. Deathstroke can heal rapidly so even Batman would have trouble keeping him down. Deathstroke would not be taken out with a single punch. 5:06 Is this the world of Avatar? That's a moon not a planet.

The Alan Wake one doesn't count because you fight it in Alan Wake 2. Technically you do fight it in the first game as well just not in the form of Mr scratch. It's just actual Darkness at that point.

Have to at least partially disagree with the Deathstroke point. I never found the tank battles with the Batmobile to be suffering of any kind. On the contrary it was the driving sections that made me dread the Batmobile. Trying to control that nightmare through Gotham's narrow streets in vehicle mode was like trying to drive a parade float through a grocery store. Will grant though that Deathstroke and Bats should have had a more personal encounter and the tank fight should have been with someone else. Maybe the Knight himself.
