A few notes: .Tray Young is a special young talent and will be a perennial all-star for years to come, but let's be honest, Dallas is absolutely winning that trade thus far .The Bulls stole Dennis Rodman from San Antonio. They won every bit of that trade .Miami won that Shaq trade hands down. Lamer Odom had hall of fame potential, but was as enigmatic, frustrating and unpredictable a player as I've ever seen. He was more of a #3 option than a #2 to Kobe. Those Laker teams didn't go to the next level until the Pau Gasol trade. .Enjoying the content nontheless!

The Rodman-Purdue trade WAS a win-win. Did you all forget that Purdue was on the Spurs 99 championship team? And he was pretty productive. He added much needed depth to an eventual championship team. @@JoshuaPlaysMage Kareem was a good but not a great rebounder, even in his prime Wilt often would outrebound Kareem head-to-head by a WIDE margin - and Nate Thurmond regularly outrebounded Kareem head-to-head. Bill Russell draft rights (the Hawks didn't want a black on their team) for 2 All Stars (Ed is also Hall of Fame, and was a MULTI time All-Star when traded) and "other considerations". The Hawks got a couple of very good players, the owner of the Hawks got some other financial-related stuff, and the Celtics got the core of The Greatest Dynasty *OF ALL TIME* in the NBA. Celtics came out better in the deal overall, but the Hawks DID get some plus out of it too - and part of the team that beat the Celtics for the Championship 2 years later (one of only 2 times the Russell-era Celtics did NOT win the Championship).

I'm sorry, but Trae and Luka has to be the greatest win-win trade. Trae and the Hawks winning now, and Luka and the Mavericks looking to be a contender in a few years. Both MVP caliber.

Who wrote this? Wiggins/Love? Love won a title. Wiggins underachieved every season for the Wolves. Odom/Butler/Grant/1st Rd.Pick. For Shaq? Yeah, Lamar was part of the 09 and 10 Title teams and was a huge part of it. But getting Pau was the turning point not Lamar. This is a terrible list.

Im here two years later to say Trae for Luka was NOT a win win, just as it wasnt on draft night. You guys just got caught up in a Eastern Finals run because Ben Simmons forgot how to play basketball. Luka is a future MVP, Trae is a fringe all star.

Cleveland & Minnesota trade is not a win win. Only Cleveland won. Kevin Love make the Cavs Champions. Wiggins was a disappointment and was traded to the Warriors. The Wolves also gave the Warriors a valuable 1st round draft pick that can become a lottery. Nevermind DRussell, Wolves can't still go to the playoffs in the loaded West.

Wiggins was not a disappointment like he said he was a 20+ ppg scorer and could play defense. He could also pop the three if open and shoot mid-range very well and formed a very good young duo with kat and he only got traded because they had no good guard so they traded him for d-lo

Trae Young doesn't have the size to win 1vs9 on the course. And as KG839 already mentioned Dallas have two stars all stars in their team while Young is still more or less alone. Also Young was the ROTM 3 months in a row and came in a close second place. You can't just look at stats or awards for who is better. I mean if that was the case, Bill Rusell is better than MJ, Kobe and Lebron, which I don't think at least.

I mean I don't really know if the Luka and Trae trade is a win-win because Luka carried with a little help of kirstaps but lost in first round and the hawks did not even make it inside the bubble but we will never know what could happen. And Luka won rookie of the year over Trae but they both made the all star team at the same year its hard to compare them but if you ask me I think Luka is slightly better. The hawks could have made the playoffs if the trade never happened.

How you gonna say the doncic young trade is a win win, sure they got what they wanted but trae young has made like 0% impact on the teams performance and that’s why their still a bottom seed while doncic and christaps are leading the mavs to the playoffs.
@kaii231
@kaii231 4 жыл бұрын
Mavs are only good because they traded 4 years worth of future picks to upgrade the roster. Not because of luka. Had they rebuilt straight up like the hawks they'd be bad too. The Hawks will be the better team in the long haul. Cam Reddish and Trae young are both gonna be studs. Hawks won that trade.
@davestevens6283
@davestevens6283 4 жыл бұрын
It's doubtful if Luka would play for the Hawks to begin with. Many talented players have lost their careers or missed their potential due to the situation they were put in with a team that didn't fit them. Here, both players have been put in teams that brought out the very best of them, enough to make them second year team leaders and all stars - and had the trade not happen, you can't be sure both would be in that position.

Y'all delusional if you don't think the Spurs-Bulls trade wasn't a win-win. When a player demands a trade or is defunct in a team despite his upsides in the game, you're already in a losing situation. The fact that the Spurs even got something out of Rodman's toxicity was a win considering he might've caused a team implosion or would've been out without the Spurs getting anything in return, and whether it was a huge win or not doesn't matter. They got rid of Rodman which was their priority and got another player as consolation--end of story.
