Post Covid, the more recent Saudi PPV's have actually been pretty good. The difference between 2018 to 2020 Saudi shows & the 2021 to 2023 Saudi shows is night & day.

Difference is 2018 - 2020 Saudi shows were more like fillers irrelevant to any current storyline WWE just booked matches for money and to make Saudi fans happy but from 2021 - 23 WWE is treating crown jewel as one of big ppv so they made it more canon event with matches of ongoing storyline and not bringing legend wrestlers for wrestling just for show

I feel like people don’t ever acknowledge that the story of Shane winning the World Cup is the start of him becoming an egomaniac heel figure. Was the follow up good? Absolutely not. But it makes sense in storyline sense that Shane would put himself in and with the cup to feed his ego

I just realised that people took issue with cody with a "broken" arm passing out in the Kimura as nonsensical but those same people will say the ending of Brett vs Steve Austin at wrestlemania was a great finish. Like they are literally almost identical finishes, The hero of the story refusing to tap out due to the amount of pain they are suffering and instead passing out in an act of defiance

As horrible as most of the matches at the Saudi shows are, the finish to the IC Championship ladder match is genuinely one of my favorite finishes of all time. Finn is fingertips away from winning only for Seth to springboard in, climb right past him, and grab the title.
