Quicksilver's Age of Apocalypse design is my favorite look of his. I normally don't care for the quasi-military look that's so prevalent in costume design nowadays but for Pietro it worked since it made him look powerful and authoritative while having good color balance.

My first ever "crush, attraction, puppy love or whatever you wanna call it" happened immediately upon my first glace at "Punk Rock Storm". My little mind was just blown away lol. I also totally dug the transformation of Angel to Archangel! When I first saw it as a kid I thought it was just the coolest thing ever.

Jim Lee's Cyclops remains the most iconic look for the character & possibly the best looking X-man. and that's saying a lot because _all_ of Lee's redesigns were iconic & still hold up as the best today. what Marvel has done to Cyclops since (and the X-Men in general), should be treated by the US gov't as a war crime, but i digress...

It upsets me so much that the only Cyclops story I really liked in the last decade was in _Spider-Man Renew Your Vows_ where it showed how things would have turned out if Scott lost faith in Xavier. Jean leaves him for Logan and he's not the team leader anymore but he doesn't come off as a loser. If anything, Scott feels like the most sensible member of the team that really should be listen to but nobody does because they're drawn into Xavier's sheer charisma.

I agree, Havok's toned down head apparatus redesign (or outright absence of it altogether in the case of X-Factor) did wonders for the aesthetics of his costume appearances. He's one of, not only my all time favorite X-Men characters but one of my all time favorite Marvel characters as well, but in my opinion his original design(s) were ungodly stupid for how powerful he is genuinely is. I understand they had their purpose, assisting in properly directing and circulating the flow of his powers, but their exaggerated initial size really didn't do him any favors. And while I certainly didn't dislike Magneto's original design, his more modernized contemporary redesign is sick.

Of all the X-MEN characters. I always love Magneto’s costume especially the classic one but when they redesign his costume and turn it all white,really fits his character. Plus Wolverine’s costume to me is always iconic to me no matter what costume he wore over the years if I pick one I’ll pick the brown and orange one.

AWESOME list. The 90s was the most iconic design for X-Men thanks to Jim Lee and Magneto ditching his red and purple garb for the ALL white was INSANE 😍😍. And the older I got the more I appreciated the hashbrown mustard look of wolverine 😂😂, I JUST can't wait to see X-Men 97 and them in the MCU

I've always been a fan of the Lee Cyclops outfit. Unlike some of the others with the mentioned 90s pouch-bling (Cable comes to mind), Scott's was not over the top, and I appreciated the asymmetric straps leading to the X roundel. Never been a big Wolverine fan, but the earth tones definitely suit him better than the yellow/blue.

#9: He was the youngest until Kitty join. #4: That Dark Phoenix wasn't the real Jean. #3: It was the team space adventure against the Brood (and being impregnated with a Brood embryo) that caused her to lose contact with nature which triggered the new look.

I prefer Wolverine's blue and yellow costume. The 90's Xmen cartoon introduced me to the franchise, and the blue and yellow was iconic. When I started seeing him in the yellow and brown, all I could ask was "who approved of this hideous costume?"

And here I am thinking I’m the only person who preferred brown and orange Wolverine over yellow and blue. You’re also missing, imo, Jim Lee’s Rogue and Japanese Psylocke and early-2000s Cable, like the one they used in Marvel vs Capcom 2, where they reduced the Rob Liefeld-ness, with less armor, fewer guns and a slimmer frame.

Cyclops, overall, needs to stop being defined by his inability to control his optic blasts. That extends to his costumes, where the signature trait is a big visor because he can't control his optic blasts. I get that, 60 years ago, it was an intriguing twist that a hero couldn't control his powers; but in the long run, it's stunted what they've done with Cyclops as a character. If we were to give it the Harry Plinkett treatment and contrast with Rogue, it might go like: Rogue: has the ability to temporarily steal another person's memories, powers, and personality. Covers almost all of her skin surface to keep her powers under control. Lighthearted, flirty, loves playing the Southern belle; also kind of lonely. Has a bad girl history and indeed is Mystique's stepdaughter. Loves a good brawl, and is a bit of a sass-mouth, playfully or otherwise. Cyclops: shoots energy blasts from his eyes. Wears a special visor to control his powers. He's leaderly. He's a leader. He leads. He ... um ... leading is important to him. He's serious like a leader. See how there's so much more to say about Rogue? I didn't even get into interesting footnotes in her past like how she absorbed Carol Danvers' powers, because even without that, she's a much more interesting character than Cyclops.
