Waves like that could in theory break a ships back. As it crests a wave the foreward is unsupported by water so it could just snap in two

I am NOT sailor material. I was getting sea sick watching this video. Glad people can do this type work but since I cannot swim and have great fear of the ocean I would never like this kinda job.
