That's how trends work though. Something becomes "trendy" when it gains popularity outside its smaller target market. Not something being invented, which typically happens way way earlier. Example: Sri racha was only used for a few dishes at Asian restaurants in the USA, if you were lucky enough to see it. Now it's everywhere. I guarantee most black people had not heard of sri racha until rather recently. Like the cauliflower thing, not mentioned in its video. It was originally a side dish on its own, or maybe chopped into stir fry etc. It became a trend when people put it in pizza crust, or made "mashed fauxtatoes" out of it.

Second, almonds take land and a LOT of water to produce, so don't even think it holds a candle to cattle. It takes 1,611 US gallons (6,098 litres) to produce 1 litre of almond milk. Over 80% of the world’s almonds are grown in California, which has been in a severe drought for most of this decade. Think about it.

As a vegetarian I've literally never been preached to by any vegan I know, but I have seen a lot of insecure meat eaters make fun of and attack them as a group with literally no provocation. I honestly have issues with my stomach and digestive system when it comes to gluten. I broke out in hives about 7 years ago, was tested, and found out that I’m gluten intolerant.
