Hi again. Took your iTag hack to heart. I found that on our front bag mounts, the Tag did not fit in a way that did not in some way effect the quality of the mount release movement. The plastic seemed to rub against the tag when we inserted it. Instead, I snuck it in an under-seat bag.

I've never seen them on your channel, but if you haven't heard of Voile straps you should check them out. They even have a new strap designed for racks. They were originally designed as ski straps, to hold skis together but they're great for lashing things to bikes. I'm not affiliated in any way, I just find them to be an indispensable piece of kit.
@EverydayCycling3 жыл бұрын
Hey Ryan, I've heard about them. They seem to be very popular for bike packing. Never tried them though, and I'm not sure what exactly I would use them for. Do you use them for some specific purpose?
@ryancherry10173 жыл бұрын
@@EverydayCycling I have a VO Porteur rack on my gravel bike and I strap my shopping tote or bag of climbing gear to it using the Voile straps. They could replace anything that you use your Velcro straps for except they're a little rubbery, have some stretch to them and are easy to secure with the their belt holes. Oh and you can daisy chain them I'm about to order their new rack straps because they're more secure for larger items than my cargo net is.

This was a great video. I came here via a web search about air tags, and your tips were great. Also loved your advice about how to use the notches on the luggage rack to secure things to avoid heel strike. That never occurred to me. But as a side note -- I tried to install omni wheels, and I messed it up. I think I should've used omni wheels with bushings, but didn't order those. Is that what I should've done?
@nicholaschua70953 жыл бұрын
would you be able to give any advise or link on the best way to mount a touring backpack on the rear rack/ seatpost of the bike... thanks
Rear Rack not wide enough ? And Soft Stuff could deform while transporting? For a few bugs, get a Metal grille/ grid from Home Depot. ( the Garden one are specially good, because there light, got a plastic cover and are cheap ) Zip Tie for permanent or Velcro for occasionally use. …………… The Front luggage block awesome, but sometimes you don’t carry so much crap with you but and you want the additional weight in the front for better handling. What i did. I took a diy front block adapter and put on a big Pouch. Then I mounted a front block under my seat with a seat light mounting and if I now want to ride with just my phone and wallet - I do it, specially nice on hot days with empty pockets. Pockets free and still space enough for a small water bottle in this pouch.

Victor, I know Atlanta gets nowhere near as cold as where I'm from, Chicago, but I'm wondering if you have ever tried handlebar mitts on your Brompton. I lost the ones for my omafiets and am wondering if they are worth replacing for the Brompton.

You my guy have convinced me to get a Brompton. I really love the flame lacquer or black lacquer ones and am thinking about getting a superlight version in black edition (when it will some day be available in my country again). What do you think about the superlight versions? Are they worth it? Black edition for me is a must have, as I think its the most stylish option available.
