The fraud from paper farmers will destroy the public trust in farmers who really do love farming and the land.

I farm 2000 acres of corn and beans. No handouts please. Increase demand for our grain instead, ie exports

That's what the "check off" is supposed to be for. Seems to be one of the biggest legal scams ever known. Every load of beans the checkoff receives approximately $45 from the farmer. I would gladly trade the checkoff in on China buying. To those that think the $45 is voluntary it is not. Deducted from your check by the elevator.

They should cap it at 500 combined acres.

Socialism for Capitalism. Does the American Farmer get some addictive drugs also?? Buy Put options instead of receiving a Government check.

Not everyone had record yields like most in the corn belt did. Every farmer i have talked to in north and south Carolina had a minimum of 60% below average corn yields, and highly variable bean yields. Some had 10% over aph on beans, some had 50% under. The only consistently good crop many had this year was their cotton crop if they grew any. Even the wheat harvested in june and july was not good either, as many people had all of it end up as feed wheat and get heavily discounted, as in most people got 3.25-3.60 at the elevator. Another ERP sort of deal would help those out who did not have the record yields, i know the Carolinas are not alone in having a hard year. I grow tired of seeing so much money flood out of this country to others, while I saw the indifference to what happened in areas hit by Helene. Please remember the 60 minutes special early this year shedding light on the fact that the US government is directly funding a lot of farmers fuel, seed, and fertilizer in Ukraine

Save the $10 billion. No one needs $600,000 tractors and $800,000 combines. It's possible and profitable to farm without uncle Sam's welfare.

This is the result of tariffs in 2017.China found a new market in South America. If tariffs are put on Canada you can expect higher fertilizer prices

What if you abandon corn and beans? No payment?

Would it be benificial if the farmers that accept the payments to also have to setaside a percent of corn and bean acers in 2025 to have less planted acers and hopefully better prices next year

When is the last time farmers planted 95 mil acres that wasn't profitable. Sure you lose less on corn but it's not profitable. No way we plant 95 mil acres.

Since when is this how you decide if someone is a good farmer? Why would you pay a large tax bill if needed a piece of equipment?
