I am waiting for the visa to be approved for my wife to come to Canada..but I'm determined to learn bisaya and I really like your lessons. She speaks great English which makes me slow to learning bisaya. I listen to your lessons and try it on her. She loves it and corrects my bad accent but you help me so much jude. I really like the common sentences. Salamat...

Thank you for this new video. I’m here on a 5 week holiday in the Philippines. It’s amazing the reactions of the people when I’m able to speak some phrases in Bisaya. I retire from work in 2 years and am looking to settle in Dumaguete. Your lessons have been invaluable. Keep up the great work. Salamat kaayo.

Hi Jonah. Kumusta ka? Nagatuon kog bisaya Diri sa Australia. Gusto ko pagingon Salamat para sa lessons. Akong mama ug mga brothers gikan sa Mindanao pero Dili born nako didto. I grew up here sa AUS. Pwede ba ka expand on prefix’s PAG and MANG palihug? Example PAGAMPING and AMPING. And other Bisaya words. What’s is the difference between the two? Naglibog ko uban na. Could you also expand on the meaning MORAG/MORA please. Thanks and please correct my grammar if I did anything wrong. Cheers

Hi Jonah, I have something really difficult for you, I can´t find out alone. Here in Austria we have a little very cute flower called "snowbell" (I think the correct translation is "sowdrop" or Amaryllis). In German it´s called "Schneeglöckchen" which is "very small (or cute) snow bell. I want to translate this into Bisaya. snow = niyebe bell = kampana but as this is a very small (little) bell, we need little bell = gamay nga kampana But that doesn´t sound nice. In many languages we have a so called "diminutive form" (diminutive nga porma) to express that something is small, like in Spain (and Italian): bell = campana little bell = campanella So my question now is: Do you have something like a diminutive nga porma, and how would you say to a small snowbell flower in Bisaya? I´ld appreciate your answere, Clemens

Why mang for laba and mag for trabaho? Coul use mag/mang for either of them?
@bisayaclassroombyjonah389110 ай бұрын
we usually use mang if the action somehow refers to several objects like"laba" laundry. It usually pertains to lots of clothes.
