What about the fact that both in Season 3 and 8 the person switched from red to blue team was called Melissa and both lasted one service on the blue team. Even more so that they weren't nominated by their team at elimination (Melissa S3 wasn't given a chance to state her plea and was eliminated straight away , whilst Melissa S8 was not initially nominated by the blue team but was nominated by Chef Ramsay)

I feel bad for Tad. A lot didn’t go his way, like the paprika spilling all over his dish. He did remake it on his Instagram. Looks a hell of a lot more appetizing than what he presented on the show! You gotta love the various references to Tad in the first few episodes of the show. Like the hilarious broomstick transition wipe by Mattias, or his photo somehow being present when Melissa’s jacket was being hung, and Ramsay asking the blue team if they wanted a broom when they awkwardly sat there instead of retiring.

I believe the reason why his dish looked terrible is because it got cold. Gravy is weird in that it looks like a clump of white fat if it cools. I don't think they had domes for their dishes to retain the heat and moisture.

Speaking of Tad, there was another instance of deja vu involving him. That concerns the first nominees for elimination. In Season 16, Matt and Pat were the first two to be nominated, while in Season 22, Tad and Brad were the first two to be nominated. This means we have two instances where the first two nominees of the season were from the Blue Team and their names rhymed.

Yo, a good one would be Barbie from season 10, and Autumn from season 7. Both were hated from their teams, and were seamed to be the weak links numerous times, being put up for elimination. Yet they both made the black jackets, and both got 4th place. And I don’t want to seem racist, but they were both black, which could be a reason to why they were hated so much.

Thank you for this video, Flynn and Ultra!!!! There are so many deja vu moments on this show, it's not even funny. My faves (in no particular order): Tad and Louie's signature dishes (both Sausage Gravy over Biscuits) and their legendary (or notorious) first boots (obvious one for me I could watch these back to back if I can; except Tad had a proper elimination) Gia and Jared: Injury histrionics so elaborate it would make Shakespeare blush like a crimson rose; oh, yeah, as well as having the HK Award for Iconic four boots Mid-service ejections for contestants named Kevin (S15 and S20). I mean, EEEOUCH!!!! (Hopefully, I see this deja vu moment in the second video, btw) I mean, none of those can ever be unseen after that!

@@margarethmichelina5146 oh, here's a double whammy deja vu moment. Both cases involving the signature dish challenge. Tom, in S2, made a pasta dish with a cold Caesar salad and Mike, in S12, made a pasta dish as well. And here's the double whammy part: Tom topped the Caesar salad on his pasta dish; Kevin topped Caesar salad on his pizza. But as far as the entire signature dish, here's the other part: like Mike in S12, Kevin in S15 put very little effort in it. Mike had packaged tortellini and canned tomatoes; Kevin, on the other hand, had not only premade pizza dough, but also premade Caesar dressing. And yes, very big doozy, but a deja vu moment nonetheless.

You know, I think there’s a pretty big deja vu theme that you didn’t cover - seasons 7 and 8’s elimination patterns. I’ve always found it odd that in Season 7, only three chefs were eliminated from the blue team, and in Season 8, only three chefs were eliminated from the red team. Both seasons saw two early boot chefs leave in a single episode, one conventionally eliminated, while the other left unconventionally, both saw a chef from the more dominant team get switched over and eliminated shortly after, and both saw the third chef from the dominant team get eliminated at around the same time, transitioning to the mid-game. That’s not even mentioning that both seasons had a chef switch back to their original team (the only two times I think it’s happened without it being pointless) - both of whom would earn a black jacket and get 4th overall - and both saw a dominant male chef lose to an underdog female chef in the finale. I don’t know, it’s always stuck out to me as eerily similar, but maybe that’s just me.

Another instance of Deja vu in Hell's Kitchen: Alyssa (S21) dated Alex (S20) and she was eliminated on the night when it was Trenton's wedding and Hell's Kitchen Alumni coming back. After having an Alex in Season 20 who performed badly and was an early boot, we proceeded to have 2 Alex's (Alejandro is referred to as Alex sometimes) who not only dominated Season 21 and having the Top 2 Punishment Pass dishes, but both also made it into the finals (I know Alejandro came in 3rd, but he was officially announced as a finalist because he made it into the final challenge).

What is also Deja Vu is some of the contestants are so similar is like if Gordon Ramsey has some kind of cloning machine. Dan from Season 11 and Chad for Season 15 is one example. Their faces look similar, their cooking skills are average and their attitude are bad. Even their exit comments are similar since they hated their teams. Even Andy From Season 6 and Royce from Season 10 are similar too from their work ethic and personality.

But in Season 1-3, the Red Team lost the first dinner service, the best of the worst (Elsie, Heather, and Melissa) said to one chef (Dewberry, Virginia, and Tiffany) they wouldn't be nominated only to nominate that same person. Funnily enough, Tiffany went home first, Dewberry was second out, and Virginia was runner up. I don't know if that was a deja by moment but thought it was interesting to say
