10 books every artist should own

The "How to draw" book by Scott Robertson might be the best art book I have. When I started reading it, something clicked and I fell in love with it. Its been so incredibly helpful!!

Theres acouple of books I know the first one is color and light by gurney he really goes in depth in how all the light and coloring works so its a must read the second one is akihito yoshitomi 10 year character skect the way he does his work for his character and background is breath taking the third one is new pixel art the forth one is pixel vistas a collection of contemporary pixel art these 2 pixel art book shows how people break the boundaries of pixel art its a nice read and the fifth is any of murata range works the way he draws his background and blends it in with the character you can’t tell if its a actual photograph or if he just painted it

@@Pralexart I only started recently collecting art books but what I found is once you buy one it turns into 10 or 20 artbooks lol.I also noticed that are lots of books on how to draw characters and backgrounds but there arent too many books on special effects like how fire burns or how smoke is effected by wind I only found a few books on the subject like 3 to 4 and one them was very old like 1980 i think

I have most of these as well. Most of the books I have in this video is for a good start. I’ve been thinking of making a part two for more books like the ones you have brought up.
