Enjoyed this video. I love libraries too, I used to work in The Central Library in Edinburgh, Scotland, it has a whole department dedicated to art - just wonderful. Special mention to your gorgeous snoring dog too, so cute ❤

Thank you, Fiona! There are so many of us library lovers and former librarians. I can only imagine how wonderful that art department must be. And thanks for your kind words about my studio companion.

I have the best library near me with an entire floor dedicated to art and all that goes with it. the books are damn heavy but I love them.

That sounds wonderful, Linda! Is it a public library or part of a university? What a great resource and the perfect place to spend time discovering lots of inspiration!

@@AnneButera It is a very old library which actually houses the Calvin Coolidge museum. Probably most people don't remember silent Cal as being one of our presidents. Nevertheless, it may have an endowment or, if not, it's just a well supported library. It's in Northampton, Massachusetts. The area is called the five college area; Amherst, Smith, Mt Holyoke, Hampshire and UMass. We are the woke people that weirdos in Florida try to silence. 🤣

Wonderful companion to your blog post! I really enjoyed seeing inside the books to get a feeling for what they were all about! Love the first 2 books on flowers!

Thank you, Karen! A couple more language of flowers books came in at the library for me after I finished the post and video. I'm especially looking forward to digging in to The Heirloom Gardener by John Forti (with illustrations by Mary Azarian!) and The Illustrated Herbiary by Mata Toll (which came with a deck of cards!).

@Anne Butera How fun, thanks for the additional book mentions - enjoy! I also love Jonathan Drori's 2 "Around the World in 80..." books -- one is on plants and one is on trees!

Thanks for watching. Aren't they amazing! Her We the People book came in for me at the library and I was looking through it earlier. Wow!
@DanaBarbieri Жыл бұрын
@Anne Butera I looked at that online. Yes, amazing. I also see a book that I'd like to read by her called An Artist's Way of Seeing. Our library system carry it, unfortunately, but reading the sample pages made me want to read more.
