Out of the gate a huge error. A three inch fixed sight 38 J frame revolver has nothing in common either a large N frame 357 Highway Patrolman

I’ve been shooting revolvers since the 1960s but none of these appeal to me at all. Too big, too bulky, and difficult to find holsters. 🤷‍♂️

I am middle aged and more recent to firearms, but I agree. My tastes tend toward original designs, wood instead of polymer, steel instead of plastic, conventional simplistic beauty instead of all the picatinny rail, lightning cuts, slab sided, ported, thick chunks of alloy shrouded goofy complicated nonsense.

I carried a revolver for the first 20 yrs of my career and it saved my life more than once. In retirement I prefer an alloy J Frame in my L/F pocket w/a speedstrip in an off pocket.

Man, why would you put wheel guns that no one in this economy can afford !? Just because they have a huge price tag!? Man there's a ton of handguns you could have put in those spots.. Let me ask you this, have you shot any Spohr handguns?

This stuff is for people who buy Les Baer, Wilson Combat, Nighthawk, Freedom Arms, Cabot, Standard Manufacturing, or whatever brand piece that cost a lot. In other words, attention to detail and function down to microscopic levels. The price reflects that. If that's not for you, it's not for you. It's not for me either but I still understand it, appreciate it, and recognize it when I see it.

Every gun on this list is either prohibitively expensive or pure crap, as far as qualities, ergonomics, durability and design. A few of them are in BOTH categories. Thanks, but no thanks. My Ruger Blackhawks have been serving me well for 50 years now and will continue to, until they bury me.

If your talking revolvers use the original meaning of Double Action An action that can be fired in two ways, trigger cocked or manually cocked. A Single action can only be fired trigger cocked or manually cocked. Cal me a Fudd if you want but thats the original meaning and DAO is an oxymoron, its just a single action.

Colt absolutely KILLING IT this year. Thank CZ. Pretty bad it took a foreign company to revive an American legend and make the name profitable again. I guess they actually support the armed citizen as much as they do the police and military. Who would have thought 😏

Colt haters usually say, "Why can't they come up with anything new? They just keep reviving old models". But their revolvers are flying off the shleves as soon as the gun shops get them in. They know what they are doing...

@@colinj5291 Why try to spend millions on tools and dies and run testing and go through all the regulations when you are the maker of the most famous and sought after firearms in the country, of not the world? Whew almost four grand for a freaking Smith and Wesson😅 I don't care if Elmer Keith designed it and signed it himself I wouldn't pay anywhere near that. The only revolver I would pay that kind of money for is the exact one that Clint Eastwood used in Dirty Harry.😮

@@crewgadjy and of course I'm aware of that. I know all the history of that movie believe me especially since I was there from the beginning and I have watched it over 200 times before I stopped Counting. Okay so there were three guns on the movie set however, the one that saw actual use on screen can be proven because it received actual damage from being thrown on the ground during the mount Davidson cross scene. The movie director John Milas received one of the other three with a plaque of recognition attached to the grips of the revolver. Originally those 44 magnum revolvers were supposed to be 4-in instead of 6 in however the production people were unable to locate.44 Magnum 4-in revolvers so they went with 6-inch instead. If you need any other facts about the movie just ask me youngster haha

Basically, no top rib and a partial lug rather than a full one on the bottom of the barrel. The frame appears to be the same. It should be slightly better as a carry gun than the King.
