What?! no gotham from arkham knight?? Check some youtube roaming videos, Gotham deserves a slot on this list 100%. It is an amazing enviroment design work, with lots of complex techniques used. The lighting, the post processing, the texture maps, and geometry tricks are amazing.

I'm surprised Monster Hunter World didn't make this list. Level design wise it can be frustrating, but the environment design is fantastic. Such a crazy level of thought and detail throughout their maps, they truly feel like believable living ecosystems.
