Another canceled WM match was Eddie Guerrero vs HBK at Wrestlemania 22 for the World Heavyweight title. Eddie was set to beat Batista for the World Title in late-2005, and HBK was supposed to win the Royal Rumble in '06, therefore setting up Eddie vs Shawn. I hated that Eddie had passed away before any of that could take place, but good thing that they gave Rey Mysterio the title win at WM 22 instead. R.I.P. Latino Heat 🇲🇽🔥🇲🇽🔥

I'd heard it wasn't for the title but just a showcase bout. Someone pitched to Vince that with their respective checkered pasts and subsequent sobriety that Eddie vs Shawn was kind of a two sides of the same coin. In alot of ways Eddie Guerrero was the Latino version of HBK

Honorable mention to Daniel Bryan vs. Sheamus for the U.S. title in a lumberjack match. That got taken off WM 27 and put on the pre-show, which is the equivalent to having a match on Sunday Night Heat. The match ended in a no contest due to interference and Teddy Long turned it into a battle royal, playa.

Macho Man shouted and cussed at both HBK and Razor for going overtime and robbing ten men of a Wrestlemania paycheck and moment. Looking back it’s actually Vince’s fault for not making up his mind on who should win the rumble between Bret and Lex, resulting in both Bret and Yoko both pulling double duty, if it was up to me I would have made Bret the sole rumble winner, challenge Yoko, save Bret vs Owen for Summerslam, while Owen could have taken on Macho Man, beat him and Lex wrestling Crush
