Elkin Lair goes great in Obeka Brute Chronologist because the oracle text on elkin lair say "at the beginning of the next end step bury the exiled card" so you end your turn after it triggers and it cancels out the triggerso you always have the card available to cast and because it's exiled it cant be discarded or removed form the game

I'm a bit newer into the game and found that super weird when I learned that "World Enchantment" and "Enchantment" were separate things. They are essentially the same things, but World Enchantments kind of work like Stadium cards in the Pokemon tcg as there can only be one up at a time. Perplexing, but definitely interesting

Goad is my favorite mechanic in Commander, i run all the enchantment auras that give a bonus + goad to a creature instead of killspells if possible

We can go even deeper with Elven Warhounds. Like what if you get it to attack in a band with a random banding creature. Then the incentive to block will be even higher cause if they don't, theyll take even more damage!

Dual nature not only acts as a back up yarok, or panharmonicon, but it also doubles up with a Yarok(the desecrated) in play. This results in a single creature etb with 4 etb triggers. Thats valued

I'm a fan of same name cards. Echoing Truth is not just token removal but can be used to bounce one of your creatures in response to a wipe or targeted removal

Elven Warhound is a card I never heard about! What a cool card! And it's also a bend i'd say, which means that I can use it in my bends/breaks themed deck! World Enchantments

It is a little more restrictive but I think Reflections of Littjara > Dual Nature. If you have an Estrid's Invocation to copy and change Reflections of Littjara as needed, it gets easier to use in non-tribal. Edit: Cryptolith Rite is a good substitute for Earthcraft. Same CMC and less restrictive mana gain in most decks.

Prosper is a very unique card for Rakdos and there's so many ways to build him because of how open-ended he is (like Alela). I have an exile "play my opponent's deck" theme for my Prosper deck and it's a lot of fun. Muse Vessel and Ornate Kanzashi are very fun cards.

I have Dueling Grounds in my Karona deck. Combined with various goad auras, I basically shut off the crack back from my opponents. Druids’ Repository is a card that I think should have been in white. Green does extra lands and gigantic creatures. White is supposed to be attacking with tons of small creatures, so this would be the perfect synergy for it.

Elven Warhounds is so cool. With Lure effects it's crazy and I am thinking that it fits right into a Brash Taunter/Stuffy Doll deck. A Naya deck with Lures, fight effects, Stuffy Dolls and the Odrics.

For a "fair" Earthcraft combo I use Ant Queen and Wild Growth/Overgrowth. The end result is usually the same as Squirrel Nest/Earthcraft combo, it should end the game (if not immediately then very soon after), but the process to go infinite is trickier and more telegraphed.

Elven WarHound is definitely going in my Toski deck. Already running Lure effects and it struggled with big board states. Also would like to see if anyone uses Hunting Grounds, I used to run it in my Karador milling deck and got to drop tons of value for free!

Can confirm that if you want to totally demorilise a monored goblin player, Dueling Grounds is amazing. Sigarda, Uril, Tuvasa, all get much value from it. Earthcraft is busted in an Animar deck, but good luck finding one that's worth less than 100 euros (I don't know its price in the states)

great question, with a very bizarre answer. mutate creatures don't actually enter the battlefield. they just meld with their target, so they never trigger any etb effect.

I think the reason Duel Nature doesn't see play is that at 6 mana, all your opponents will get the benefit before you do, so it's really hard to take advantage of. Hmm, I might have to put Dystopia in my Greven deck. Ohh, I'll have to put Elven Warhounds in my Edric deck.

You cannot bounce treasure tokens with echoing truths, since they probably just sac the target. So you would have to bounce your own treasure for it to work as intended.

Druid's Repository is like Black Market for green. Nice. Still can't afford Earthcraft. Echoing Return (Modern Horizons 2) works for Relentless Rats and Shadowborn Apostle decks.

cause najeela is a cedh deck and this channel is for casual players. i imagine most casual players have never played against a cedh najeela deck.

@@edhdeckbuilding I would have no problem building a casual najeela deck with druid's repository and the other two wincons as casual. Just as zur the enchanter can also be built casual, even if it's mostly broken and extremely high powerlevel. Just not put in those cards. But I agree, most other decks would just gain mana by attacking.. Which would be fine in casual games.. I still would prefer this card not to be used in casual games.. And that was in the end why I wrote the comment. Not because it's already played that often.

I mean the reason I don't see these cards often is because there aren't many floating around; aside from my own copy I've only ever SEEN one other Earthcraft in someone's collection, for example. The other cards are from old obscure sets; I actually opened Prophecy packs and remember the set being hot garbage - Rhystic Study is the only thing worth over like $1 in the set to this day. The reason you'll see more Silent Arbiters is simply because it has been printed more recently.

Not sure how exactly, considering the card specifies "When Dual Nature leaves the battlefield, exile all tokens _created with Dual Nature_ " so it will only get rid of the tokens Dual Nature itself made, _not_ all tokens.

Dulcet Sirens and Sly Instigator are kind of bad once you get down to a 1v1 situation, so they actively get much worse as the game comes to a conclusion. Earthcraft is a nice card if you don't have to pay the paper price for it, if you're looking to make an Emmara, Soul of the Accord deck it seems pretty crucial as a way to churn out those tokens and get mana in the process You typically don't get to bounce all of someone's treasure tokens with Echoing Truth because they can crack the token for mana in response

yes it says "put that creature", meaning you put the creature on top, which means you should be able to choose the order.

I didn't know the world enchantment rule was still a thing. I thought (since it was never reprinted and very old) that it got removed like interrupts and such, but that makes sense since they never printed or reprinted a world enchantment card since then. There have probably been a few games where players should have put their world enchantments in the grave then...

Incite Hystetia. 2R. Sorcery (Radiance) Target creature and each creature that shares a color with it cant block this turn. I never see this card used ever on attack based decks. This can get around a player having mass hexproof (Asceticism), by targeting another players creatures.

Elvish hounds would be super interesting in a my Brokkos deck. Mutate onto the hounds and swing. Since Brokkos has trample already my opponent has to take the commander damage

Adding the Lure into the deck works well if you’re mutating onto a deathtoucher too, so it’s not just a 1-off card that doesn’t fit. Hounds is a great tech for Brokkos
