I love this. My favorite things in commander is replacing all the staple cards with unique ones that only work well in that deck (replace Naturalize with Viridian Zealot in my Lathril deck for example). So this type of video where you highlight cards that aren't generically good but point out which decks will really be able to use them is so great. I only started playing in 2019 so a lot of these old bordered cards are completely unknown to me. I'm totally going to use Familiar Ground in my Lathril now, and Fanatical Devotion would make a great sack outlet for my Atla Palani Deck.

The 7ED version of Familiar Ground even has an elven ambush as the artwork, almost as if it was meant to be included in a Lathril deck.

I love Fecundity! It's one of my favorite cards in my Savra deck. My playgroup isn't super competitive, so it really helps to lessen the blow of Savra's grave pact effects. Nobody removes it because it's group-hug-y, but in a sacrifice-style deck you definitely get a ton of value from it

Great episode. I run Fanatical Devotion in my Alesha deck to protect my important creatures and as a free sac outlet. Faith Healer is in my Ghen enchantments deck. It's super good to some enchantments into your graveyard if you need to.

If I am not mistaken, that Eye of Singularity + Clone is how the player exploited the old legend rule, since it used to check every side of the battlefield for legends of the same name. Love to bring that back, and w every single permanent, not just legends

fleshwrither is essentially a chord of calling, but X is always 4. 7 mana tutor for a 4cmc creature into play in mono black seems interesting. My go-to target would be crypt ghast

Feed the Pack goes excellent in a Meren of Clan Nel Toth deck. You can stack the triggers so that you sacrifice your big creature to get the wolves and then immediately bring it back onto the battlefield (or your hand, I guess). Bonus points if that big creature is a Mycoloth.

I have 6 Fleshwrither I've had in my deckbuilding binder since RTR prerelease, and it always blows people away with how good it can be. Definitely a pet card of mine!

Heard you mention that you had a Shanna deck and instantly gave the mention some devil horns. I built one to when set released and I have to say it's one of my favorite decks. Either it or my Rona affinity deck.

Another card that hoses treasure tokens is Viridian Revel. Doesnt work well against Smothering tithe though. Unless you control Abundance.

Faith Healer is fantastic in my Estrid the Masked deck. Sacrifice any enchantment I'd like, gain life, then use her Ult ability to bring them all back. It gets bonus points paired with any "Enchantment enters the battlefield" effects or in response to a boardwipe.

fun fact: Fanatical Devotion Mitch used the card on the extra turns on command zone for his kenrith deck it did alot of work so that episode alone proves that card can do alot of work for you. oh and i got a idea for Fecundity and its morophon eldrazi and its because of the....spawns and scions they can be sac so you get 1 colors and draw a card with this in play so with from beyond or/and awakening zone you can get a lot of cards and use the mana for the cards you drew into.

Equipoise and False Demise (also Fool's Demise) are pretty interesting. False Demise and Fool's Demise are currently in my Jalira (Master Polymorphist) battlecruiser brew, because being able to sacrifice a creature twice for another ETB is fantastic. Fleshwrither looks pretty cool, though I've been getting a bit bored with tutoring up exactly what I need. I've definitely been in more of a randomizer sort of mood, so I've been brewing strategies where I go with the flow of where my deck wants to take me. If I'm still feeling stifled, I can always add some more card draw and other engines of sorts to captitalize on what I have going on.

I used to run Ferropede in my Edric deck, but its additional effect was just too minor. One counter usually isn't enough to do all that much. Against things like Plainswalkers, you'd just be better served with more damage so that makes it even more niche. I can see it with Chisei though, that's a good call. Transfigue is really cool, but WOTC is trying to cut down on search/shuffle effects, so I don't see it coming back as a keyword in a main set. Would be cool to see it in a Modern or Commander set one day though.

Might I suggest obsidian charmaw? New, but I find it’s a great card that is fair land destruction. I started putting in some land destruction in my decks lately since I’m so tired of seeing field of the dead, cabal coffers and or urborg. Now we have yavimaya or the occasional gaea’s cradle proxy. I hate that destroying lands is so taboo in the game when so many decks have completely broken land decks. It’s no fun seeing these lands and not being allowed to interact with these key pieces. Otherwise, I’m implementing a new rule that I get to tell other players which creatures they are allowed to destroy. No touching my commander!

Fanatical Devotion + Willbreaker is an amazing way to repeatedly deny your opponents the ability to keep creatures in play. Sac a creature and target your opponent's creature. Willbreaker gives you control of that creature. Sac that creature and target an opponent's creature... rinse/repeat as needed.

I run fecundity in my Ghave fungus tribal deck. The funny thing is that, even though less used it is less of a problem in that deck than the other similar card I put in. My deck can go infinit, once you have gotten enough upkeeps, so the may is huge. The other card has decked me.

Used to play feed the pack in my Kynaios and Tiro of Meletis deck. Created a lot of value and endgame sacrifice it to create a bunch of tokens and played it again for more tokens. Big butts commanders or stompy creatures certainly go well with that enchantment.

Fecundity is an all-star in my Reyhan/Tana deck. Combos great with Dauthi Voidwalker, too. I had Feed the Pack in there, too, in early versions of the deck, but it was just too expensive to be a reliable source of value (even if it worked great once in Magical Christmas Land).

The trend continues, 7 out of 10 of these cards are Enchantments lol Not that that's a problem. A big bonus with Enchantments is that, often times, I find them to be the permanent that gets targeted the least, second only to Lands maybe. Green and White are the only colors with a decent amount of Enchantment destruction. Every color, except for Black, has enough ways to deal with Artifacts, and because of that, a lot of people focus more on artifact removal it seems. Especially since there are more board wipes that deal with all artifacts than board wipes that deal with all Enchantments. Usually they're lumped together now.

False Demise goes well with a certain blue hawk creature(don’t remember it’s name), that states when it dies return target enchantment from your graveyard to play.

3:50 I don't think that would work because regardless of the 'untap step', you will face in at the begginning of your turn before your 'Untap Step'.

there is no before untap step. untap is at the very beginning of your turn, which is when things phase back in. if you have no untap, nothing phases in. i assure you it works.

False demise sounds actually pretty decent in most Zur lists, since in those decks you also can get around opponents' hexproof or shroud creatures you might want to snatch.

FINALLY familiar ground is getting recognized it basically makes menace creatures unblockable and I used this in my Atraxa deck for a time because it would force my opponents to block my huge creatures

I'm building a golgari elves deck and i have fecundity in it. I'm focusing on tokens to go wide/tall but i could honestly do a aristocrat deck and it might be better but whatever. It'll be fun to see if Fecundity is gonna be good or not.

10:43 my favorite thing to do in my Thromok deck is sacrifice 5 or so creatures making him a 25/25, sacrifice him to feed the pack creating 25 wolves, THEN sacrifice the 25 wolves to Thromok making him a 625/625 xD then kill someone with it the. Sacrifice him to make 625 wolf tokens xD

I made a janky triple tribal Mimeoplasm deck with Oozes, Insects and Wurms. (called it my Slurm deck). Ferropede is an amazing target for Mimeo base-form on cast. Paired with an Impervious Greatwurm, and we have an unblockable 17/17 commander =) silly, but fun AF.

I love feed the pack in my Brokkos deck. Feed Brokkos to the pack and get 6 wolves, next turn mutate brokkos onto a wolf and attack, then feed brokkos to the pack again for another 6 wolves, repeat over and over again, it's awesome.

As flavorful and awesome as feed the pack is in a Tovolar deck, theres just not that many nontoken creatures you want off the field, especially since there are lords in that deck that target only werewolves and you more want to go tall than wide. Its really fun in a sarulf wolf tribal deck though lol

i think that transfigure shoul cost more mana than the creature, otherwhise it would be to powerfull. thats how transmute works tough
