What are your biggest career mistakes - or, if you haven’t made any, which are you trying to avoid?

Some of these career mistakes were literally mine, some of them I didn't do yet. Thanks for warning for them!

In my mid 20’s, I had a clear vision but it was actually my parents’ vision. I didn’t have my own vision until my 30s

That's such a good and important point. Many people have some kind of vision early on, stick to it and don't realize that they're trying to fulfill someone else's dream. It was also in my 30s that I got (more) clarity on what I wanted to do with my career and life, and separate that from what my parents might've initially wanted from me.

thanks for the video. I am in a corporate banking graduate program for 9 months and my manager asks me several times, if I really want to stay in the department (was there for more than one year already including my internship period) without exploring other opportunities. He even recommended me an job interview in other bank, which he think is better. (i failed the interview though) now I get anxiety and afraid that the career path i am going to choose maybe not the best one and i should explore more within and outside of the bank to have better opportunities. I know now that "narrow minded" will do harm to personal development.

You're already so far ahead simply by realizing that you have other choices. I hope that you keep searching and that the best way will reveal itself to you soon! All the best.
