Most vehicles can last 200 000 or 300 000 miles, but there are still absolute duds! Today's list are some of the worst cars to own in 2023 or the least reliable cars you could buy. At least, all of this is in my opinion and that's from research, test driving, and working with tons of cars every week!
So if you're looking for unreliable cars, you can buy one here today. Or you could just avoid these cars like the plague!

Lexus (Toyota) will immediately address and correct any defect in their vehicles. BMW, on the other hand, has known for years they are producing throw-away garbage. Yet they continue, and have proven, to do so. But don't tell the BMW fan bois, always at the ready to praise those steaming hot piles. But let's give German engineers a shout out! Not only the N63 twin turbo V8 had serious overheating problems and timing chain problems but they also had some rod bearing problems too compared to the N62 naturally aspirated V8 that didn't had those super crazy problems. The only horrible issues you had to deal with on the N62 V8 is number 1 biggest problem the OEM coolant transfer pipe leaking around 40,000 miles so fast and the screwed up PCV valves and hoses and horrible lack of oil changes which is what causes the valve stem seals to go bad over 5 or 6 years old or over 80,000 miles.

As a car enthusiast, I really appreciate this channel. Also: My friend bought an Audi A4 that consumed excess oil and he replaced the entire engine at 100 000kms / 60 000 miles. 😮 My other friend bought an Eco Sport and it was always at the dealership for engine malfunctions. 😮 I had a 2.0L Beemer, it was 2012 and it's pulleys got loose which loosened the timing and ultimately led to me trading it in. 😮 My brother after I warned him bought a Beemer 2.0L and it had so many problems under the bonnet that he had to sell it after 3 years. 😮 Same friend mentioned with the Audi A4 also owned a Golf TDI who's cylinder head cracked, the oil cooler failed and turbo blew all within 2 months. IMMEDIATELY after fixing all the above, the crank shaft shot through the engine block and Kaboom went the entire engine. 😮😂 We had a beer over it. 🍻 He finally bought a Toyota after seeing me get an Isuzu. 😅

Only time will tell, but mechanics say that if you change the transmission fluid and both filters every 20,000-30,000 miles, Nissan CVT transmissions will be okay. (We are not talking about a flush here.) You must change both filters, especially the one in the pan that catches (with a magnet) the metal shards that accumulate. Leave the dirty fluid in and you will have a problem. Again, only time will tell for me. I needed a car in February, and I did not have much choice. Thus far, I like my Kicks. I have not had any problems. I plan on changing the transmission fluid every 20,000 miles. My latest high for gas mileage was 44 MPG on the expressway.

I use to have one a 2017 model with full Audi Dealer service history and I wouldn't buy another yes it's fast and handles beautifully but in the last 18 months of owning it I had to spend £7500 on it including timing chain, coil packs, injectors, PCV system and some other bit and pieces and it only had 59,850 miles on it when these parts failed. If you do buy one make sure you have a rainy day pot for maintenance and repairs ready to go as they are very expensive to run.

I drive a 2016 Chevrolet Traverse and am quite concerned about the airbag recall. Why they have no fix for it still and I have to continue to drive around in a vehicle that is definitely unsafe due to possible shrapnel being driven through me in an accident. I guess that’s part of corporate policing themselves. They should be required to provide a rentals to every owner of these brands till a fix is in…. Absolutely irresponsible and wreck-less on GM’s part…. Someone needs to do a video on this and pressure them until they correct this… I took mine in this summer to a GM dealer and was told they know of the recall but can’t do anything till GM comes up with a solution…

Every time you punch that camera, I expect my screen to crack! 😄 "The amazing oval of despair." I've never heard it put quite this way. 😂 Ford actually uses a BELT to run the oil pump?! That's a whole new level of insanity! 100% agree on Tesla. lithium-ion batteries start to age from the moment they are manufactured. Their capacity slowly decreases all the time, even when you don't use them at all. That well-aged Tesla is a throwaway vehicle at this point.

The engine light is already on for a problem with it warming up to slowly 🤷‍♂️ she bought it without me knowing 😢 all I own is Japanese lol, old pathfinder, a Scion iM 6sp and a toyota CH-R. Hopefully it lasts, I maintain it.

I managed about 12 minutes of this total crap. Before childishly ranting and swinging the camera around everywhere, go to a GM, Ford or Chrysler dealer and check out their automobiles, then come back and look at BMW, Mercedes, Jaguar etc. to compare. Sure, you can then screw around with Korean brands, Japanese brands (usually built in N.America) or even Tesla, but its guaranteed that automobiles produced by the “Big 3” will be at the bottom of the heap.

I drove a 2008 Elantra 143K miles, with minimal general maintenance - sold 3 years ago and this current owner has put another 28K on the car - still perfect. My sister-in-law drives a 2005 Sonata with 204K on it - two sets of tires and 2 car batteries, general maintenance - that's it. My current 2019 Kia Forte has 43K - zero issues other than the theft re-programming recall Kia performed.

Japanese aluminium engines will never last 100,000 miles. They corode so much in 6:32 the cylinder block that the whole engine has to be replaced. It happened both in my Toyota (90,000km+) and Dihatsu (145,000 km+). Too bad I learned too late.
