My father 1955 190 was very well build, we have this car for long time 16 years with no issue and sold it for taxi. It must be over 300K kilometers. The paint was 4 layers and never rust out.

Today's Honda's and others are not necessarily getting as high a mileage as the older models. It's because they are turbocharged, those engines simply don't last as long as naturally aspirated engines, especially small ones like the 1.5 engine. About the Mazda 6, I had one and it had an electrical problem which drained the battery. The DEALER could not even figure it out, so I traded it in on an Accord. So that's a hard no.

You left off Toyota Sienna I have 2 both have well over 200K I also have a Toyota Highlander with close 200K. I’ve found that he 2GR FE 3.5 V-6 as a reliable engine. I also have a 3.3 liter in an older Sienna. I do all the work on the Toyotas myself baring tire changed and alignment. Most of the vehicles mentioned are good ones except there some caveats to each one. There some problematic F 150 namely the turbo charged models. The newer Suburban’s have had some issues as well. I’ve had good luck with older Volvo I have an S80 that outlasted all the accords I’ve owned. The list in general is ok you just need to do some due diligence with each one.

How can someone put 1.3 million miles on a pickup truck in 3 years, I used to drive a truck (18 wheeler )and only put 500k miles in 3 years
@rtfloneАй бұрын
I found that 1.3M miles in 3yrs number kind of hard to believe myself. The math works out to just under 1200 mi per day every single day for three years. That Is just not possible..

How many engines has it had? Ford makes some really bad automobiles. Most don't make it TO the 100K mark, let alone pass it. Focus was one of the worst. If I had to choose an American car to drive, i'd sooner choose a Chrysler Product, than a Ford. But my overall preference would be a GM product. But, I haven't driven that wasn't Japanese for 20 years. And I never will again.
@navishtaacsha392916 күн бұрын
all brands are good as long as the owner changes the fluids and does the maintenance as per the owner manual recommendations. It depends upon driving conditions, driver, roads etc., I think all mid size cars to heavy trucks should last for at least 300K miles which is roughly 500k kilo provided maintenance is done as suggested above.

My Honda accord sucks. 1999 Accord transmission went bad. You put in the gear and it took at least 3 seconds before it engaged. 2013 accord CVT transmission just stopped working on freeway. AAMCO charged me $7500 to replace the transmission, about the same price of the whole car.

I think these days, they consider turbo replacement as part of regular maintenance, but maybe not officially. Also, I think there's little chance ATF lasts 1m miles without 1 or two changes minimum despite being "lifetime" according to manufacturers lately. I mean, if you consider lifetime to be 200 to 300k, then sure, you don't have to worry about changing out the ATF.
