He forgot that kia did the gt-s in a 1.0 litre turbo kicking out a 100hp I don’t know why he didn’t include that one. That would have made more sense than the 1.25 and would make it more fair🤣

I own the 2008 Brabus Smart 451. It's only 770kg. 1.0L Turbo Mitsubishi engine. Super reliable and fun. Not many left on the roads so it's nice to own one.

Shocking suzuki swift sport didnt make it to the list ZC32S/ZC33S such an underrated car, the reliability is superB and the aftermarket support is pretty great too maybe not the fastest but not everything should be based on raw hp to the wheels imo there's other things to consider. As a full time mechanic and working on cars everyday I wouldn't pick any of these maybe the kia or the s1 at push but still wouldn't be my pick unless you have tons of spare money because most of the cars on this list are stupidly unreliable, maybe the forums don't say it but most italian/french suffer with coolant leaks, oil leaks, Electrical issues, coolant leaks, turbo issues, early suspension wear, silly cosmetic wear and list goes on. If you want bank for your buck invest on jdm or N/A (Kia proceed gt maybe worth a metion, not the most city friendly car)

Those twingos are reliable, not great build quality but they're pretty built proof if you look after. I wouldn't took the pug/cut 1.6t engine, theyre crap.

The kia picanto is also available with a 1.0 tgdi engine and is way faster compared with the 1.2 engine. When removing the restrictions on it it has 142 hp.
@lilpinns4062Ай бұрын
That’s exactly what i thought, he should have put 1.0 turbo instead tbh It just makes it more fair instead of the kia seeming like it’s the slowest on there poor kia

What about the 3rd gen renault twingo GT? It’s very similar to the brabus fortwo (similar engine etc) but it comes in a 5 door configuration with a very spacious interior and just looks way cooler in my opinion.

Well, to be fair yes he was. Because that’s what it says. Going on the basis that since they don’t have “insane performance” you don’t expect it to be standard if it states that it does have “insane performance” get it? 😆

RIght power for a hot hatch is 200/tonne, so anything from 150 to 250 really. Of course, mine has 270 + decat so 224/tonne but probably 235/tonne really, but it's also stupid 😆 That Kia (edit: the 1L turbo version) can apparently be chipped to 140hp pretty easily, which could be interesting. The S1 seems like the winner's choice on this list, but I suspect it's way too fast for city use and probably far less fun than the Renault...
@SimeonMihalkovАй бұрын
zc33s is the real old school hot hatch and was not listed
@skykid4000Ай бұрын
The right power for a hatchback? I don’t think it exists these days. I suppose when it starts to understeer? Chassis can’t take it? Who knows. My Pulsar GTIR is @360 and I think it’s enough. The chassis handles it quite well with tweaked camber, suspension and semi slicks.

I wouldn't recommend an Up/Mii/Citigo if you want to drive a fun car. Wireless steering kills all feel and eliminates a lot of fun.

Nice shout out for the Up GTI. Id still wait till most drop below the 10k mark to consider them good value. I have a mid spec VW Up and can say they are fun little cars to drive with the right wheel size. I have 17s on mine which kinda does ruin the ride and handling. Nice and cheap to run too with decent storahe space
