@@Michaelengelmann Yeah, I just looked it up, and Green Arrow came out 23 years before Hawkeye, at 1941 vs 1964. Same concept, an arrow for every job, so the main weakness isn't tech or skill, it's ammo count. Stark uses suit energy to fire off blasts and engage in combat, Hawkeye has a quiver of arrows, and the arrows run out faster. Stark is helplessly weighed down by an unpowered suit *if* he craps out too fast, Hawkeye can simply re-equip more arrows. Hawkeye would have a maximum of 20ish moves to close the deal or retreat and reload. Stark wouldn't end him upfront, so that only becomes an issue if Hawkeye gets the better and losing is not an option (Like *another* civil war) plus suit power ending up in the lower third of his capacity. Win conditions aren't common for Hawkeye, but they exist. He's got a few shots before Iron Man shoots the ground from beneath his feet or some shit.

As a proud reader of everything abaout Deadpool out there, i don´t know if i would put him in this list. Deadpool generally has his personal agenda and helps heroes or villains alike depending of his personal interest. He is friend with Captain America and Spiderman and use to help them but in the next comic you see him working for hydra. He have some moral code but is so twisted that is hard to say he´s good, and when he tries to act good usually is just to be admired or to impress some of his hero friends. And in the next page he will be at the other extreme. This is what i like from him, he is not evil, nor good. He is tunring back and forth at all times.

One favourite of mine not on the list - Megatron from IDW's Transformers. Now he's going to be a villain again due to the entire run going through a 'Crisis' style reboot, but for the initial one, once he joined the Autobots, he remained one til the very end. _"I once told Optimus I killed for the sake of killing. I wanted to make him hurt me, you see-because when he hurts others, he hurts himself. And the thing is, when the words were in my head I didn't think I meant them; but when they left my mouth, I realized that I did. If the world thinks you're a monster, what does it matter? The world is wrong. But when you start to think of yourself as a monster... I came to hate the person I'd become. And I decided that the best way to leave that person behind-perhaps the easiest way-was to become an Autobot."_

actually I feel like the Hawkeye story you covered while being the original is not the most compelling villain to hero story he’s had. one of my personal favourite backstories for the archer has him run away from home and join the circus but plot twist, its the circus of crime, a criminal organisation that has Clint, then called Bullseye as a trick shot performer while helping them on their crime sprees. But after Clint’s so called “family” resorts to murder to get what they want and thats when Clint had enough, he tripped the alarm and got the entire circus arrested. He was arrested too of course but security footage (or witness accounts depending on which comic/cartoon you read/watch) clearly show that it was him who had tripped the alarm. so fury himself makes Clint a shield agent where he took on the name “Hawkeye”. yes I know there is an actual villain called bullseye, I dont know why or how that happened

Her costume was modified to give her Wasp-like wings that enabled her to fly whenever she shrank down to the size of a yellowjacket, and she was even given bio-electric blasters built into her costume's gloves, and a cybernetically linked helmet similar to Ant-Man's that had artificial antennae, enabling her to psionically communicate with and control all insects, especially yellowjacket wasps. Even her Pym Particles had mutated her due to her constant exposure to them, and she no longer needed them to shrink or grow. This improvement of her advanced weapons and paraphernalia was done by the criminal scientist called the Tinkerer, who had increased the effectiveness Dr. Hank Pym's technology and weaponry in a manner similar to how Dr. Pym had made his Giant-Man costume out of a synthetic stretch fabric interwoven with Mister Fantastic's (Dr. Reed Richards') "Unstable Molecules", and how he had made Janet Van Dyne gain superhuman strength as she shrank. This gave Rita DeMara the power to grow to a giant size of up to 60 feet tall in height at the most, and gain enhanced human strength at a height of only 1 inch tall, provided that she psionically controls her mass so that she still weighs her normal height's weight. However, if she makes herself as light as an insect, she can't use her enhanced strength. Later, after realizing how crazy and evil her fellow members of the Masters of Evil were, she quit that super-villain team, not wanting to associate with such insanely sociopathic and dangerously psychotic murderers and armed bank robbers who were obsessed with destroying the world if they couldn't conquer it, and killing their arch-enemies the Avengers in revenge for them getting defeated in battle by the members of that super hero team many times. Yellowjacket II decided to join the Avengers and try to make-up for her criminal past by becoming a super heroine. The members of the Avengers reluctantly took her in as they didn't fully trust the former super-villainess. But she had given up her thief ways for good, preferring to become a professional adventuress and a professional crime fighter rather than associate with serial killers who commit wholesale destruction and mayhem. She stayed with the Avengers on a probationary basis and her status with them remained as a trainee at Avengers Headquarters only. She even received extensive and intensive combat training from Captain America in order for her to have much more effective defensive, and offensive use of combat techniques using her powers and weapons. After her Avenger-in-training period was over, she became a full-fledged member of the team, helping them to fight against her former allies in the Masters of Evil. She would later meet the Guardians of the Galaxy and time travel with them to the 31st century. She joined their super hero team and helped them fight against the hostile alien species called the Badoon who had conquered that time period. She proved to be a good member of the team despite being from 1,000 years ago in the past. Sadly, Rita DeMara would die fighting to defend Earth against the Badoon. The Guardians of the Galaxy would bury her on that planet, as she was among the last humans left. She is remembered by them as a true protector of her homeworld and a savior of her species.

First of all, Poo-Mah. Second, Rogue should have made the list. Third, not a well known character but the story of Gladiator in Daredevil comics I thought had a great reform story.

can't believe y'all had the audacity to have a picture of harley come up, but not mention her, cause she's become an anti-hero too, i'd mention ivy as well, but i'm pretty sure ivy is around the same area as magneto,

i would argue Emma became a villain again during Avengers vs X-men, though i suppose that could be a matter of perspective

I remember when venom was such a bad guy he basically just ate everyone so every time i see new versions of him where hes a anti hero it throws me for a loop, same with deadpool

And then there's Frank Castle, arguably the ultimate anti-hero. Doing the 'wrong things' (killing everyone directly involved in a mob corrupted justice system) for borderline 'right reasons (vengeance for the death of his family), but in doing so making the world a safer place for everyone else.

Didn’t Emma become a villain again in X-Men vs inhumans story a few years ago?
@LupineShadowOmega5 жыл бұрын
Nope. They tried to play it off with a reveal of her alone in a room with a new Hellfire outfit at the end, as if she'd go back to evil, but it never happened and thank god it didn't. The whole idea was stupid.
@garrymoloney95705 жыл бұрын
Yeah I heard that whole thing was just to try and replace the X-Men with the inhumans because marvel had the movie rights to inhumans but not X-Men
@alanrickett25375 жыл бұрын
Emma is a villian, she does what good for her and a role with xmen is better than a role with hellfire club , besides she likes Scott so is bound to do bad stuff ;-)

I wouldn't classify Black Widow as a "villain". She was an operative of a legitimate nation-state, working under orders to carry out that nation-state's interests. She's only a "villain" because the nation state in question was the USSR and it was the Cold War.

I'd even argue that *Taskmaster* could have potential as a villain who might eventually turn good on a permanent basis. Particularly considering a certain bit form a comic where both Deadpool and Taskmaster were involved. The villain of said story wound up being a psychologist and therapist who abused his patients and even drove one of them (a young girl) to attempt suicide. Cue Deadpool strolling into the psychologist office and starting to casually chat with him, with the topic slowly (and increasingly uncomfortably for the psychologist) drifting into details more and more in line with what the psychologist had done to that girl. And in the end Deadpool beats the absolute hell out of the guy (and as added emphasis, Deadpool's usual mental "voices" that interject and comment on what's going on, during this particular scenario are noticeably and completely *absent* which means that Deadpool was 100% focused on making the guy pay for what he'd done to that girl), and Deadpool outright stated that the *only* reason that Deadpool didn't just kill the guy is because that young girl had explicitly asked him *not* to do so, and Deadpool leaves. And then Taskmaster walks in and remarks "Funny, I didn't promise her a damn thing.", and Taskmaster promptly executes the dirt-bag.
