at first I wasn't as much fan of not having the subtitles in chinese as well but felt it forced me to focus harder on what was being said and pick out words I know so that was nice

Very practical phrases and I love this new format too! Listening practice is always fun. Not only would we learn the main phrases from the video, but we could also pick up some new words or phrases from when you’re explaining in Chinese. There is extra learning content even if the video is the same length.

This is a great format! It's very useful. I like how you give examples of the sentence used in chinese media and explain first in chinese and then in english, and the skits are great too haha. I would love to see more videos like this

Another useful expression is 我打不開. I've had accidents and a stroke so opening bottles of soft drink or juice is hard for me and I had to learn this phrase so sales clerks would understand why I was pointing at the bottle i just bought.

I love the skits, the drama clips and how you explained in basic Chinese. Want to practise listening from the real dramas but the pace is too fast for me. It'd be great if you also add zhuyin or pinyin for the drama clips. Thank you, Grace!

太巧了吧 is much more colloquial, it's used for situations where two things happen at the same or you and someone else have something in common when you and that person happen to talk about that thing, in the situations like this, you will say :‘“what a coincidence 太巧了吧”. 不约而同 is for written language, and it means some people do the same thing at the same time without telling each other about this thing

My Taiwanese GF says you are wrong, zhi is pronounced Zzhi like the young girl in the movie example said it! Is your "ger" for zhi a different dialect??
