That's exactly the type of videos I've always wanted from PF2e content! I Also love how you didn't focus on only low level build, but also thrown some mid-high level builds as well. Still, I continue to be all for videos where you do hand out the complete character build and go more in depth into it as well! ;)

Good! If this goes over well, I'd love to make more of these.

Love the video format, here's a suggestion for a possible next video: Cavalry Commander (Bard with Cavalier Dedication). Bard is already a great caster, but being able to use your mount's independent action from levels 4+ to move and still use your third action to use a composition cantrip, demoralize or bon mot is really useful. Also I personally like the idea of a Bard that's more militaristic instead of the classic tropes. Edit: Also, I'll not stand for Reach Spell slander, best level 1 spellcaster feat bar none.

I recently played a Bard with Beastmaster archetype, so I personally know that this is VERY strong.

Love your PF2e build videos. Your animist build made me fall in love with that class too. Being able to do cool stuff that changes how a class plays ++ More please!

I have absolutely taken Skill Mastery 5 times on rogue archetype characters MULTIPLE times. I've played a few different characters that were high-level (11-16) dual class characters that took Rogue archetype, and there's just something special about Martial/Caster with Rogue Archetype and Skill Mastery.

It just feels so good! You're not really adding raw power like you might from more combat-oriented archetypes, but the flexibility and options you pick up are *chef's kiss.*

I'm glad for PF2 content like this. I have trouble thinking of overall concepts like this when starting new campaigns. Would love to a see a video on various different healing builds you could do (especially with new healing options from recent books)

I made a build for Barricade Buster a while ago and found, interestingly, that it works best with a fighter, not a gunslinger, as you have the high accuracy, but also access to Point Blank Stance to get around volley.
@ThrabenU_Gaming2 күн бұрын
Yeah, oddly, Gunslinger is not a particularly good class for the Barricade Buster. I think Ranger and Fighter both work better.
@Ghost.in.the.Machine2 күн бұрын
@@ThrabenU_Gaming Gunslinger unfortunately lacks robust Way options for two-handed guns: sniper, vanguard, and spell shot; all three of which are very specific playstyles. you can *kinda* use Pistolero with a Jezail, but it's messy. With the barricade buster's inventor having ascended to godhood and, of course, having it as a favored weapon, I had been contemplating divine martial classes. That solves the Advanced Weapon problem without needing Orc Weapon Familiarity, and because it doesn't rely on crits for good damage, you don't *need* the extra proficiency of a Fighter or Gunslinger. Champion works better with ranged weapons post remaster, but runs into the Volley range issues. Battle Harbinger could provide Bless support to the backline, but otherwise wouldn't make great use of the class archetype well. Avenger Rogue is a bit of a mess, but stacking sneak attack onto the barricade buster would be spicy - though like all ranged rogues you need a way to get your prey off-guard. Vindicator Ranger is what I've settled on - lose out on the accurate rapid fire of a Flurry ranger, but good damage buff and Far Shot + Disrupt Opposed Magic would be a nightmare for enemy spellcasters.

Great video! I love hearing about concepts like these so I can provide more interesting ideas to my players for cool PCs or to make novel NPCs. Although I suspect the Master Exploder would be rather cruel as an encounter... xD

Legal disclosure: the advice given in this video is NOT to be used be evil GMs for nefarious purposes. ThrabenU_Gaming takes no liability if the entire party is TPK'd be a double explosion.

Yeah, my GM is pretty generous, but he might put the kibosh on that. I do plan on playing animist if we play WoI though, and will Def try this build. If he axes it, that's ok.

These ideias are very cool. My contribution would be a Ranger dedication on any character. It’s an easy dedication to fit, a +2 DEX is doable for almost any character, and it can offer a myriad of options: RK boost, damage on melee/ranged attacks, action compression, some good focus spells and even an increase to Perception at 12, which 2/3 of the classes can make good use. Barbarian? Take Gravity Weapon and go crazy. Alchemist? Take Monster Hunter and get double the range on Bombs while also making a RK and possibly a bonus to attack. Druid? Take Slime Spit and have a good focus spell that also dazzles enemies on failures. Bard? Warrior Bard can make very good use of Hunter Shot to extend their composition’s duration Rogue? Go crazy with Animal Companion, Imitate Fauna/Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing and Animal Feature to be the pair of Bears dealing Precision Damage. I know you want it.

Gravity Weapon was in a couple of the draft ideas for this video. It rules.

PFS wouldn't allow the 'I like tokens' build and I suspect many GMs wouldn't either.
@ThrabenU_GamingКүн бұрын
I did some playtesting with the build (though I didn't use a familiar). It actually wasn't all that bad in terms of time spent on turns. The summoner not having access to many spell options meant that many turns weren't all that complicated compared to the turns of my other spellcasters, despite the fact that I was making more rolls.

I am still looking the video, but since you started with Exemplar, I assure you that many people already theorized about how to maximize Exemplar playability and the first thing everyone thought about was Shadow Sheath. Exemplar is a Rare class and a Rare archetype, so GMs may not allow it, but more importantly for its bad rep, it because very similar to "The Best Monk is a Fighter with Monk archetype" and "Why not just play a Fighter?" type of argument. So while I think you shouldn't stop yourself from making Exemplar content since everyone should be able to minmax to heart's desire, just be careful not to turn character concepts videos into "This build you have would be better if you just use Exemplar".
@ThrabenU_GamingКүн бұрын
I tried to go for "interesting" here rather than "powerful" with the Exemplar stuff for just that reason!
@Sumting-r7r2 күн бұрын
I like your content, but in a video like this, if half or more of the builds arre are going to be Exemplar, you should say that in the description, if nothing else. So people know what they are getting. A lot of GM's don't allow Exemplar, or even the archetype, outside of WoI.
