The heaviest naturally occurring element is plutonium measured by the mass of the element. However, if you go by a practical metric, like the weight of a brick of a material you might think otherwise. Osmium and iridium are very dense materials ~22.6 g/cm3 -- about 20 times heavier than the same volume of water and about 10% more dense than plutonium. They would seem to be heavier, but the atoms are actually lighter. ...we were talking about heavy metals, right?

+Ross whitby That's debatable. Plutonium might only exist naturally in a neutron capture instance with some uranium in specific circumstances. Plutonium, generally, is only created in stars and supernovae. You could argue that there may be some Pu^244 somewhere. But no one has found it. So I don't know if that counts. Also, if you're going to plagiarize a website, you should at least make sure that they have done their research. scienceline.ucsb.edu/getkey.php?key=2687 Also, trololololol

Here's a story about Dave Mustaine that a lot of folks might not know about: Before getting involved with Metallica, Mustaine sold pot, and one of his customers worked at a record store. Sometimes, she'd bring by records in lieu of payment, and that's how he was introduced to bands like Iron Maiden and Motorhead. Mustaine jokingly said that the sound he developed might've been entirely different if it hadn't been for that chick at the record store being a total pothead.

You should talk about one of Slipknot's first Ohio shows, where they were buued and hurt by the crowd, due to the crowd saw Slipknot as a Mushroomhead rip-off. I read somewhere on Wikipedia that Hypocrisy vocalist, Peter Tagtgren, had his heart stop beating for several seconds while in the studio. This made him write the song "Dancing with the Dead" for his side project called PAIN. I'm guessing this came from the stress of owning your own village, as well as running your own studio, label, two bands, and home life.

Hey Jared, here's something of huge infamy from my home town. In 2004, gorgoroth performed and taped their show in Kraków, Poland. The album is called Black Mass Krakow 2004. The performance included pig heads on stakes and blood sprayed on audience. There were also totally naked guys crucified on the stage, behind the band. There was a lot of controversy before and after the show, religious groups protested, and even the national television got involved. It was pretty much the most talked about metal event in Poland, and this is before Behemoth got really worldwide famous. There are a lot of materials about this online, the entire show is even available on KZbin. Check it out, might be a nice fact for the next episode!

Nice video, really cool. I have a fact, the guitarist Buckethead once toured with Guns N' Roses. Bucket would sometimes refuse to show up to some shows or practices, Bucket would begin getting spied on by a random group of people, sometimes waiting outside his home for around a week, Buckethead called up the drummer, "Brain" (Bryan Mantia) saying there was people outside his house in a car for around 3 days. He told Brain he'd go out there with a mask and a hatchet, which Bucket proceeded to do, he went out and walked around the car, and the mysterious people drove off. d'ere you go

Fun one on the Zakk Wylde bit. i think this was don jamieson story. the no shower thing came about as a bet between some others in the band to see who could go the longest with out hygiene. so he was like 60 days or so. and these two girls came up and wanted a picture so they give the camera to don and he knew its been many days without cleaning and he just came off the stage. so zakk put his arms around the girls for the picture and you could see their faces change almost immediately and in the picture you could see them trying to smile through the smell.

On the subject of Napalm Death, I believe it was ND's drummer Mitch Harris who first coined the term "blast beat", although I think its origins can be traced back to the underground bebop jazz scene of the 1930s, where drummers in cutting sessions (play-offs) would blast as fast as they could (bebop was all about playing faster, less accessible jazz than the current popular trend - big band)
