💯. Yes, I have my favorites just like most do but I have nothing but incommon with most lyrics! Linkin Park is a biggie for me. Chester's words are basically my life. And their song called Burn it Down I really resonate with because it's been my life story.. I build things up and Burn em back down, I build it all up just to Burn it back down. This has been my life... It's a struggle.

Hello. I am 63. I recently connected with an interesting man online. After three weeks of texting, he explained that he is an introvert. He actually mentioned it early on, but I didn't understand. He told me that he missed the passions of a relationship, but did not know if he could return those feelings. I ended the communication because I was afraid. My questions to you: 1. Is it rude to ask a person what type of introvert they are? 2. Do you have a significant other? Do most introverts have spouses/mates/partners? ( Sometimes I wish that I would have continued texting, but I wanted more.) Thanks in advance for your insight.

I don't know the percentage, but definitely fewer introverts have a partner, mainly because they avoid meeting strangers. I met my wife through a classified ad that I placed. I was yearning for romance at the time. I love her, but I've had regrets at times over not staying single--I miss out on the freedom i would have had. Fortunately we never had children--i could have never dealt with the noise, commotion, and drama. If you are an extrovert, life with an introvert can be challenging. Heck it's challenging enough for us by ourselves.

I do all of those things and one day my cousin asked what did the committee say in my other cousin's wedding preparations I told her I don't know coz I wasn't attending, then she said "you've never stopped being evil hearted" I was so hurt bearing in mind that I had no bad intentions nor was i jealous of the wedding but I just felt uncomfortable attending the meetings but in heart I was happy they were planning .most times pple misjudge us saying we are antisocial,shy , evil hearted but not so we are wired that way and we don't require fixing

I go to great lengths to avoid people I recognise when I don't feel ready to interact with them. And when I have to get out of my home and I see my neighbor outside, I wait until they get back in their home before going out.

I to if I see someone I know I usually try to get away without being noticed.Driving is the worst if you stop at a stop light and you know the person in the car next to you. I put my shades on fiddle with the radio or pretend I’m talking on the phone or just look directly out the window screen(front window)

I don't mind responding to emails and usually do that right away. Emails are much easier--you can compose your thoughts and say exactly what you want to say. You can edit it and hone it until it's perfect. On the phone or in person I stumble over my words and often forget things I need to say. I have to rehearse almost every phone call I make.

If I dislike someone I will ignore them as well, but if I know the person and I'm not in the mood of chit-chatting (which is like 75% of the time) I'll pretend I didn't see them or I didn't recognize them, which is easy to do I guess because everyone wears a mask now. I do this all the time even if I actually like the person I'm pretending not to recognize. I don't like to do it but I can't help myself.

I recently learned there is a British (I believe? Certainly not American) phrase (perhaps obsolete today?) for pretending not to see someone you know: to cut that person. I saw it in some story by a British author from a century or so ago, and had to look it up to understand that usage of the word 'cut'.

I’m a life long introvert and this whole clip is my life to a T. I avoid going in the same aisle as someone else and I hate going to restaurants on the weekend, because it gets very crowded and loud. Everyone wants your mobile phone number. Getting people to understand that you have the phone only for outbound emergency calls and google maps seems to go over their heads. The inventor of the cellphone didn't have one himself. He had a phone in his office and at home so no need for a cellphone.

Introvert don’t necessarily feel anxious when being with people. They just don’t see the point or get anything beneficial out of it. Feeling anxious would be social anxiety which some introverts also have but they aren’t the same thing. Also “crazy” is subjective. Misunderstood would be a better way to put this. Because these things that are listed aren’t crazy.

I always have something to do. I get bored with other peoples' company. People know introverts don't share their secrets. I always know what they want when they call. It's better for me to get back to them when I have the time to listen and respond accordingly. Gotta add, that, as an introvert, I have a great neighborhood, and usually plan the annual block party, it's great to see everyone having a good time, but mainly, I just do a touch and go "How's everything?". However, I will wait inside when the UPS person drops off a package, then grab it off the stoop when they're gone. Oddly, though, I can banter with someone behind me in the checkout line at the grocery store. Maybe because it's just momentary, and there's no real sharing. I just like to make people laugh for a bit. ...then it's off to home to recharge.

I'm very introverted. However I hate the term anxious or having anxiety. That term is thrown around too much. Having slight feelings if unease doesn't mean you're having an anxiety attack. I hate crowds and socializing on a daily basis. But to say "we" get crippling anxiety is a little much.

I have done most of the things on this list but I thought I would clarify two points for you extraverts. 1. There are many flavors of introvert that vary in "introvertedness". Some of the things listed here are only true of one or two sub- sets of introverts. 2. Introverts do enjoy very small group interactions. There is a common misconception that they only like to spend time alone but this is not true. If you make a one on one plan and have slightly deeper conversations, they probably will enjoy it.

Most of the things discussed here is... Me! I don't pick up fone calls and I only talk to people I know. Better to communicate on text or email. But I'm learning to socialize in social media. 😊 Crowd and parties makes me anxious...I want to flee right away. I don't lie when invited I just say no, I'm not available. I love being alone most of the time draw, paint, cook etc. and do things on my own. I always have my headfones with me to listen to my fave music. Yup sometimes I'm misunderstood and even accused of "are you autistic?" 😂 I just want to be alone but I'm not lonely. 😊 I can still adapt to people and social situations. I wave to people I know and still be kinda friendly with neighbors. 😊 But don't talk much.

Know the difference between introversion and social anxiety. An introvert may decline eating out with friends because theyre exhausted. Someone with social anxiety can go days without eating because they are terrified of leaving the house for food. Ive done both.

If you check your messages through the notifications I have a tip. Go into the settings and turn off read receipts. You can now read your messages and no one will know if you've read it.
