Several years ago, my wife & I moved into our first house in an older neighbourhood. About three weeks go by with nothing of note happening. One early morning (2 or 3 am) we get a bunch of calls from several of our neighbours about figures moving around our house. Naturally, we call the police and find out that a group of very drunk teens were fresh from a party and thought the house was still vacant. Memories of that age tempered our reaction but what bothered us was the fact that every single neighbour called us. All of them saw the kids that early in the morning.

I have a story: Long ago, I used to live in a small building, and there was this middle-aged man, who was always very kind and polite. But, as I used to say "Hello", and make quick talk with him every time we met, I noticed all the other neighbours kept ignoring him. Despite how kind he was. I almost pitied him for having no friends and being a recluse... Ok, there was indeed something creepy / strange, about him. I wouldn't be able to tell you what it was, especially at that time, but he made me feel more & more uncomfortable as time went by. Maybe it was his looks, and the way he glanced at people. Like, he would stare at me, deeply, and endlessly... Also, the way he talked to me, I always had a hard time leaving ( I had to make up some bs, like " Ok, I REALLY have to go, now, my parents are waiting for me." ) He took it one step further, though, by stalking me, and he even followed me, on several occasions... But, still, I'm not one to judge a book by its cover, and I felt bad for him, so... I was VERY naive and still being nice to him. I just thought he was awkward and not adapted to society / shy. Maybe he also had mental issues, too! So, I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt... When one day, completely out of the blue, I learned he had come out of jail, a few years prior. Why? You're gonna ask me... Just as I asked, at that time. Well, turns out he was a sex offender / pedophile. Yeah... Sorry, that was long, but talking about it ( even if it's in the comment section of KZbin ), helps a lot. Thank you for reading :) x ( If you made it that far lol )

I had a neighbour that used to collect WWII stuff, specifically from the Nazis. I always found that to be a bit odd. Also one of the neighbours from when I was a child used to watch us a lot. It was never clear if he watched us because he was lonely, bored or creepy...but I always remembered to close the blinds when changing especially when I hit my early teens and started to develop.

Our worst neighbors were our landlords. The overweiweight dad walked around in his underwear and yelled at everyone, the busybody wife was always at our house looking for things my brothers may have done to violate the lease, or some damage to the house she could blame us for. She was always in our business. Then there was their son, junior. He'd always be outside working on his car. Say hello to me. Watching me. Always watching me. It got to a point that my mom went over and told him to leave me alone. I was young enough at the time that I didn't understand why. They fostered a girl a few years older than me for a little while, and we were friends even though she had issues. I spent a little time inside their house during that friendship and was always creeped out inside that house.
