My doctor put me on Amytriptilin 60 mg, and duloxetine 30 mg, when she should of never mixed the 2. I winged off both, and had the worse withdrawls I could of imagined. Ended up in the hospital, thought I was having a stroke, didnt think about all the withdrawls I was going through. Blood pressure and blood sugar was spiking through the roof, dizziness, brain zaps, brain felt like it was dying, serotonin completely messed up, riging, beeping in ears, wanted to pass out when I stood up, brain fog, God so many symptoms, that took me months to get over. DONT TAKE ANTIDEPRESSANTS, ITS DESTROYING YOUR NATUAL BRAIN!

@sharonbice7490 - Thank you for taking the time to respond. It sounds like you have definitely experienced a lot of this first hand and really had a difficult time. We hope the video was helpful, especially the part on what these withdrawal symptoms look like and feel like, and how to reduce them or cope with them.

I was prescribed this 12 years ago (by trial and error) Me personally never actually experienced a benifit but my partner said she noticed 'some' improvements... After 12 years I decided to stop this medication. I went from 60mg to 15 mg over the time of 2 months. Since a week now I totally stopped taking it. Oh my god the withdrawal is bruta. Even after reducing the dose so gentle over time. I have the brain zaps, beeing extremely emotional,.... After looking into some information online some websites declare that withdrawal symptoms can last up to 6 months !!! After all this, I really really wish I never started this medication. Can't help to feel like I have been taken poison rather than medication all this time... It scares me that medication can have such massive impact on one's brain... Never, never, never again for me.

@dieterpareyn - It sounds like your withdrawal process has been a doozy. It might be helpful to reach back out to your doctor about your withdrawal symptoms, because they may have some recommendations on how to ease the process.

I did major readin up on this med along with ambien. The government site NIH has research that these medications do cause potentially irreversible brain damage, and cause potential for developing dementia. Facts not fear

Thank you for this. Because of a pharmacy issue, I missed 3 doses in a row and found myself in pretty bad shape. This helps me get an idea of how to best manage the symptoms

I was on duloxetine 20 for 2 years and my doctor has stopped it suddenly because I was not having anxiety issues but my head feels very heavy and dizzying. Do we have dose less than 20 mg to taper off in duloxetine.

@vxxvxxvb It sounds like you're experiencing some difficult withdrawal symptoms. It might be helpful to reach out to your doctor again to discuss these symptoms and ask about a tapering plan. They may have suggestions or alternative methods to help ease the transition off duloxetine. Hang in there!
