i really like this idea, you could also use an extra layer of thin packaging inside if you want the tag a little thicker so it feels like a specimen card. i have not tried this before with the wax i wonder if it works with printed paper or regular paper with a drawing or watercolour on it. You could also do the tape transfer thing and have it just the tape so it is clear. fun

great suggestions! not sure about printing paper, how the wax would work on it but worth to try. Now you reminded me that i have saved few tape transfer images from time when i was testing it, i just need to find them now and use them ;) thank you
