I found that nitro boost works better than climbing tires. The forward boost pretty much negates the need for grip when climbing any surface.

True with enough speed grip becomes less important. I personally like having a defensive bumper and the lim shield/pulse so I never got the chance to use nitro a ton. But yeah sadly I noticed that a lot of the final unlocked parts were very underwhelming
