Another terrific thought provoking video, TY! A personal note.. I work with Home Care and Hospice, visiting people in their home for professional care. Scent, as mentioned at the end of your video can be a real problem for some people! Firstly, allergies/sensitivities, I have left homes with a headache due to scented products and carried it on my clothes the rest of the day. Second, those living in a house get acclimated to a scent and tend to make it stronger over time so they can smell it… and it’s like walking into a wall when a visitor steps in… yuck. Third, many fragrance oils (vs essential oils) have dangerous chemical in them to one’s health. Good old fresh air, or natural citrus can be tolerated much better. Just my opinion!! 🌻
@kestiameshad4 күн бұрын
Agree... I love a good scent too especially in hotels and spas but for home, it's a bit more of a concern. I have cats, and I'm worried about what these will do to them too.

Thank you…I have a lot of chemical triggers for asthma…I actually sort of panic when I I walk into houses with scent…if it’s natural I am ok..if it’s spray, scented candles etc I can’t stay…

I love using musical instruments as decor! That cello in the corner looks so beautiful. A violin or sax or trumpet on a stand can look very high class in a room. Instruments are very expensive, but if you shop, you can find one that is not usable any longer but is still a beautiful piece of art.

I love your channel! I've learned so much from you, and over the past few weeks have started to incorporate your advice to my home and it looks better already. It's still an ongoing project and I was just so impatient before, wanting to see results immediately and didn't take the time to slowly add to my home that it looked a bit sterile. Now I'm taking my time and really put in the consideration of whether something works for my home or not.

Haha. That provoked a memory from close on 60 years ago. My school gave out deportment badges and I was pulled forward as an example of how not to win: untidy hair, collar and tie askew, inky fingers, rumpled stockings, bulging pockets etc etc. That’s before I attempted to move: apparently I ran like a chicken rather than glided gracefully into school!

@@zerowhite2286 what is a deportment badge?? Also that school sounds traumatizing whatever it was 😳😭

@karenhansen It was an award for seemly and graceful appearance and behaviour! It was the 1960s so those nuns were fighting a losing battle. Yes, I should have been traumatised by the many horrors, but what doesn’t kill you makes you Stronger. 😉😵💫

If you want to see good ways to hide cables look to gaming setups specifectly really clean ones as people get creative, for instance, there is a youtuber where on his setup he uses metal pipes as a speaker stand but the way he installed it the cables run through the pipes And into the desk so you cannot see them.

There's actually many videos I've posted that goes into different, some more specific advice that's not rly common elsewhere, but guess what, those videos don't do as well - it's always these types that get pushed to a wide audience. That said you're welcome to have a look (the one on texture, or cohesiveness where I talk about red thread concept, and the one on neutral rooms) - those 3 are worth a watch.
