I find this video to be a very clear depiction of dimensional thinking.

It's absolutely not though, time is not "the fourth dimension". We live in a 3 dimensional space-time. Space and time are intrinsically linked. Even if a 1D or 2D universe were possible, they would be 1D space-times. The video even glosses over this when it presents a "flatlander" being able to experience a 3D object changing over TIME. A real mathematical fourth dimension requires an additional spatial direction that functions exactly like the other 3, except in a completely new and orthogonal direction. There are an infinite number of dimensions since a dimension is simply a way to record how a variable relates to another variable. This video devolves into esoteric talks about time travel, probablities, and recursive patterns as if they were facts very early on. There is no reason to bring how we experience time into a discussion of dimensions, nor quantum mechanics, nor time travel. The best you could do would be to say this video is about "possiblity scopes".
