This hack to make a vacuum blender should work with any other blender such as nutrabullet , Ninja blender, Oster blender, vitamix bblender, or even Hamilton Beach blender that also has a rubber stopper or a plastic stopper if you are willing to use a different method to attch the pump.

Hey Robb thanks for this I will be doing this soon. I have a question for you. Do you know how could I make my blender go even slower power / rpm then the current lowest setting? Could this be done with a light dimmer or some other power limiter type device? The goal of this is to minimize oxidation even further especially on lighter produce like watermelon and tomato by blending at the lowest possible power that is still sufficiently strong enough. You seem like the kind of person that would know the answer to this and I don't know who else or where else to ask. Thanks

Hi Steve, they have a lot of speed controls on amazon but I am not an expert at electronics and can't tell you which one would work. amzn.to/3aBavmC I am guessing anyone that is rated at 25 amps or above. I have called vitamix before and they were very helpful. you would have to look up their number.

Robb's Homemade Life, thank you. Most are really long videos by John Kohler so I type in youtube "John Kohler rock dust." Or just "rock dust." It is part of geotherapy which includes things like bio-char and other soil amendments. There is a book on amazon I have been wanting to research but it is over $150! Anyway when I see John I think of his vacuum blenders and rock dust enthusiasm and such. The only thing I can tell so far is that rock dust at minimum changes the soil drainage which some plants like more than others. The biggest success in my "garden" is a huge sweetpotato vine! I am learning that Florida is much different in terms of what grows and when and to not fight her and just stick to planting what already loves to grow. I got over run by delicious mangos which isnt a bad problem to have. ☺

yeah, my Vitamix is 40 years old so I can do what I want to it. cookie was my mom's dog that I inherited after she passed away. Cookie is an old dog.

It would be nice if you would sell these so people do not have to make it themselves. You could sell the tops so people could add it to the blender they already have of course they would have to make sure they have a blender it would fit on but save them time and make you money.

Hi. Thank you for this video. I am not super "handy" so I love the concept, but am unsure how you did this. Would you please make a video of actually doing it. And then how you use it to blend under vacuum. This carafe doesn't look like my vitamix so I am unsure how to apply your cool hack. Thank you for your help.

Hello Tari. The wine vacuum fits in a hole in the top of a wine bottle. Instead of a wine bottle, I inserted it into a hole I made in my vitamix plug. I drilled a hole in the rubber plug that fits my vitamix so i could insert the wine vaccum. Then while blending I used the pump that comes with the wine vaccum to remove air from the vitamix.

I'm not sure about your model of Vitamix, but the current models all (or mostly) have vents in the lid so you can blend hot things, so your method won't work unfortunately.

Basil, thanks for your comment. The Vita mix 3600 is the only one I am familiar with and it worked well as I showed in the video. However you may be right about the other blenders because I have not used them. Thanks again.
