Is a $10 dollar broom pole a feasible option to help you record your off camera sound? Today Griffin Hammond is going to find out!
In this episode of Cheap Thing Vs. Expensive Thing, we take a $10 DIY Broom Pole/Boom Pole and pair it up against a $589 K-Tek K-102CCR to see how they compare in protection, usability and image quality.
The K-Tek K-102CCR is a graphite boom pole with 5 telescoping sections that extends up to 9 feet. It comes with an included XLR cable that is built into the boom pole. On the other hand the DIY project for the Broom Pole can be performed on any cheap broom.
Now, which pole will win? Watch to find out!
