My theory is The Curator is who the spare Tennant doctor becomes. Once he's got himself together, he doesn't need to run any more, and he settles down to curate the gallery, returning to some old faces because instead of running from the past, he looks back on the memories of gallifrey, unit and the time before the war fondly

I can understand why people get upset over the Brigadier being converted into a Cyberman, but I don’t. People are getting upset over a slightly bittersweet or more horrifying thing happening to a great character, because it happened to every other dead person. It’s sad yes, and at the end of the day, it isn’t fair, but that’s the point. I like when Doctor Who takes something and puts a new spin on it or adds something, creating a more interesting universe of characters and plot lines. So please, don’t get me started on my opinion with those who say that The Timeless Child answers the question of Doctor Who? Because it doesn’t. Frankly, it creates more ambiguity with the character, something we needed, because, imo, the only thing we didn’t know about the Doctor before series 12, was his/her name.

Not to disparage Clara as a character, or Jenna Coleman's acting ability, but I kind of wish Last Christmas could have been Clara's last episode. I think it would not fit the character, in S8 we have seen Clara take more and more risks. I would expect her to jump at every opportunity to go back into action like at the start of S9. Even without it being related to the doctor. And at some point she would have taken one risk many, just like she did and therefore never grew old.
@samuellawrencesbookclub82504 ай бұрын
@@Rafaela_S. I feel like they could have overcome that, if they had gone down this root and let this be Clara's ending. At the end of the S8 finale, Danny brings back the child he killed. Now, even if they got UNIT to help, returning a child who is considered dead to unknown family members in a war torn country would be challenging, Clara would probably have been taking care of him a while, and - in taking care of someone who is dependent on her, and is her only link to the man she loved - I feel she would quickly learn greater responsibility, and be more hesitant to take risks. In the back of her mind would always be the thought that saving this child was Danny's last wish, a wish that would never be fulfilled if she were to die or abandon him for another reckless adventure with the Doctor. Combine this with her being, as was heavily implied at the end of S8, pregnant with Danny's child, and thereby soon having another reason to the cautious, and you have a compelling case for a shift in Clara's character towards being more careful, careful enough to reach an old age. For comparison, consider the impact that adopting Luke, and later Sky, and gaining as companions Maria, Clyde and Rani, had of Sarah-Jane. In the pilot Invasion of the Bane, she is far more reckless, to the point that she confronts the main villain, Mrs. Wormwood, with, apparently, no plan for if things turn nasty, as that show progressed she became more and more careful. As with Sarah-Jane, so too with Clara.

I noticed that London Credit Bank thing. Another thing after the Titanic episode was the one with the Dalek invasion where Harriet Jones mentions that the subwave network was created by something called the Mr Copper Foundation, maybe this was left as an Easter egg for fans to indicate that he may have used his credit to fund construction of a communication device to reach The Doctor in case of an emergency. Such as a midnight rescue from Hyacinth.

In "The Stolen Earth", the Doctor mentions "Calufrax Minor." I doubt there'd be two planets named "Calufrax". The original Calufrax ALSO disappears in "The Pirate Planet" (Fourth Doctor, part of the Key to Time season). Fourth Doctor describes it as a cold, miserable little world (or something like that). BTW, that story was written by the late, great Douglas Adams. And we know why the earlier Calufrax disappeared -- had nothing to do with the Daleks. Also in "The Stolen Earth", the Doctor mutters to himself that he'd only seen that happen once before (the Earth being moved). Anyone who knows the Classic series knows that happens in the Trial of a Time Lord season (Sixth Doctor), when the Earth is moved 2 light years. Don't wanna spoil who moves it or what happens to the inhabitants!

Due to this, iPlayer has deleted the episode. I know many fans hate this episode but I actually like it. It was the first Doctor Who episode I ever watched so it's nostalgic for me. It's not the best episode ever but it is pretty funny. I'm upset that the BBC has taken the episode down, but i guess it's for a good reason. I think the episode gets too much hate when it's actually pretty decent. But we can all agree that the episode that should be taken down is Love And Monsters. There are fan made translations being used ✨ Most popular ones are probably Sherman's (for example, in Extremis, the device which the Doctor uses to temporarily regain his sight by sacrificing part of his future is briefly shown to have a sentence on it written in a simplified style of Sherman's Gallifreyan. When translated, it appears that it was supposed to read "To be paid back in full", however this intent, while likely, is currently unknown due to the simplified font.) and Doctor's cot Gallifreyan, but there are many others. 💗 I think this one is Sherman's too, but some letters are slightly edited for the looks and they didn't connect the lines.

Context: I'm building a deck around the Doctor Who Magic the Gathering cards, specifically Gallifrey Stands (representing the climax of Day of the Doctor), where you win if you have thirteen Doctors out at once. Now, there's a lot of ways to give things the Doctor type, but I want to specifically do it using only characters that have been the Doctor at one time or another. Except Dhawan's Master; he killed Gallifrey, he doesn't get to save it. That gives me seventeen Doctors and two stand-ins, but I'd like more if they exist. I suppose the Valeyard could count too, but it doesn't feel quite right.
