that was a really fun and exciting game. well played by both sides, none of the angry BS or showboating that you see in other sports. i believe that college teams are better coached than professional teams, even the men's and women's college basketball teams seem to be better played. props to the ladies on both teams

I agree, but I do think the game plan was to switch out pitchers after they’ve gone through the order to keep them off balance. Just didn’t work out in Dukes favor.

OU’s defense was great! Walks and hit batters is concerning, I don’t think they can get away with that throughout this series. For the best experience during these games, as a Sooner fan,turn the sound off of your TV and tune in The Franchise on the radio or stream it. ESPN commentators grate on me, C Plank does a good job !

Sanders, Hansen and Torres!! Sanders was 3-20 before the home run. Hopefully, she's back on track. But, yeah, this is done. The hitting coach, JT Gasso, has prepped the girls for these pitchers and it showed. Watch the swing of each of those home runs: The ball was low, inside and they each went down to get it. That's why those three went over the LF fence - almost in the same area. ...And that's why OU wins. Attention to detail: the best coaches giving the best information to the best hitters in the game. That's the same reason, OU will change a pitcher as soon as they put themselves in a bind - too many walks or HBPs or consecutive hits. Lead off pitchers are tired by the time they reach the WCWS. So change 'em out as soon as they start to fade. Maxwell had 5 walks and a HBP by the end of the 5th. OU looks very good. The defense is a lock. If the hitting coach stays on them, this will be a 4-peat. Go SOONERS!! Thanks, Matt.

I see that softball pitchers always leap an slide towards the plate before delivering the pitch , making the distance from pitch to plate even a few feet shorter. Not being familiar with the rules of softball i cant help but compare it to baseball where you never see such a thing. Now i have to do a deep dive into the rule books .
