Great tips. One advice I'd give to new editors is to not be afraid of cut. When I was starting out, I was uncomfortable leaving clips with no transition and was putting some kind of transition to everything. Bad idea. Cut should be majority of the transitions and these effect transitions should be used as accent.

Thank you for sharing these techniques! It's a very good tutorial, but can you make it slower when you show us how to do these things? I am a beginner and it's a little challenging to follow your steps. I set the video speed at 50%, but the zoom-in and zoom-out effects you used are a little bit too much. It looks very cool to frequently zoom in and zoom out, but it makes it harder for beginners like me to focus on the tiny buttons you hit in the software.
