I wish I could do these types of things. My hair is so thick, straight and slick it won't hold a curl or texture and bobby pins don't work😂 I'm obsessed with your videos though!

Thank you! I think a special texturizing product would make all the difference for you! My hair is super sleek and I can totally understand your pain since it's my pain as well (my hair isn't thick but that's even worse as it tends to look super flat). Generally curls from Jumbo Curlers are exceptionally long lasting (unlike those from a curling iron) and I don't use special styling products when I use them, but when I really care about texture and volume in less curly hairstyles, I use L'Oreal Professional products like "Next day hair" or "Crepage de chignon" and they really make a huge difference. I can even lift my roots which is normally quite a "mission impossible"!

And what to do with very fine straight (!!!) hair that does not hold in any hairstyle? If I curl it, it straightens within an hour. I'm definitely not going to put tons of gel or hairspray because it doesn't look nice or natural. It's more like it looks very greasy. It's like I haven't washed my hair in a month.

I can never do these sorts of styles. My hair is too wiry and straight and just falls all over the place while I’m trying to do braids, my daughters are the same and I’ve never been able to do braids in their hair either apart from your usual plait. Your hair is fine and soft and manageable like my mothers hair which is also very easy to style because it just does as it’s told.
