Great video, man! I started to play two months a go with my son, here in Brazil. It's so pleasure. I was a volleyball player and now, with 53 years old i discovered padel and, like i said, playing with my son, 19, is a undescribable joy. Last weekend we participated in our first tournament and we finished in second place of beginners category. Thanks for the tips, its really improving our game.

Thank you, brother. In the last two years I was playing beach tennis with him and we went to play on a new court here in my city, and when we arrived, we saw for the first time a padel court in the same place. From then on we became interested in sport. Padel is only known and practiced in the south of Brazil and we are in another region. But now it's becoming a fever here in our city, Belo Horizonte.

Again, magnificent video collecting interesting information from a topic. Let me also congrats you because of the evolution in your own game during the years... so much controls in all shots in terms of speed, effects, places, etc etc. I think you have improved quite a lot over the time! If this is visible just in videos... congrats!

Agree with the view of not coaching your partner, but: 1. Your partner is weak at returning shots from a lob, but you’re strong. You want to win as a team and you cover the lob to help your partner, staying in the point and play the ball from their side of the court, returning to your own side, and communicate that you’re covering They take umbrage: saying coaching from the club coach and the Padel School coach who visited state “agree the side you play on, and that’s your side that you cover” I explain you cover your own side as a general principle, but the dynamics of covering is a natural element of the game. If I can get the shot, help my partner and us to stay in the point, and win it, this is better than letting lob defeat us by not dealing with. I have decided not to play matches with this partner because they take umbrage, we lose because opposition just play on them. In freezing me out, I’m trying to bring in different tactics so I help my partner In social practice, I would encourage and let them take the shot so they get more confident, even if I can get the ball and can see we’ll likely lose the point; practice and fun/enjoyment is more important than the winning Views. I’m fed up with being seen by this partner as encroaching on their shots. I play to a strong intermediate level, but still see myself tactically and strategically as a beginner padel player with 7 months playing experience.

Great video! One thing you didn't include is how to deal with lobs on serve. I try to find out if the opponent has a weaker lob side (usually backhand) and serve there. The other thing is your tip 7: don't rush the net, stay at second post. Then they get a bit uncertain about the lobbing :D

Great advice! I try to use different shots on my opponents so they can't predict the next ball. I just need to keep my balls shorter😊

Lobs are an important part of padel. Look at the top 10 ladies.... they use the air just as much as they use the glass. Nothing boring or horrible about it. Only tennis players hate lobs....
