Beware on the Masterchief Collection that unless you have Game Pass, you will have to pay extra for the Halo 3 ODST & Halo Reach campaigns. Also with the closure of the Halo 360 servers last winter, the MCC is the only way to play old Halo games online now.

You can still play Halo 3 on Xbox Live on Xbox 360. But at the moment, it requires someone to host using a modded Xbox 360 and stock consoles (Xbox 360, Xbox One, or Xbox Series S/X) can join on them. It’s a project called Sunrise, and the developer has recently worked on getting it running with the Xenia emulator on PC.

All good choices boys. There are ton of great games you can get on the cheap for the Xbox. Honorable mention if you haven't tried it. Dying Light. You can usually find that under $10. It's another bad ass zombie game. Dying Light 2 is also good and you can find it under $20 if you shop around. Also fun fact. Quantum Break, Alan Wake and Max Payne are all connected to each other. It's the Remedy universe. There's a ton of vids out there on it if you are curious. Cheers fellas!

Also the Master Chief Collection! Talk about more bang for your buck. They still update it today with different cosmetics and swapping in different game modes for online play if that's your thing. It's also been optimized for the latest Xbox consoles. So good. If it was the only game I bought for the console I wouldn't be upset

I like how you guys did those videos talking about the Xbox One as I have owned that console for years now It may have had a rocky start of its generation but now it’s pretty good even though the performance on series X is way better But the Xbox ones do have lots of good games to offer one of them being halo the master chief collection which I spent most of the time on that console playing and was my most played until halo infinite came out but that and the master chief collection are now my two top games

Gears 5 has 3 player splitscreen coop for campaign, runs surprisingly decent on the Xbox One. Halo ODST and Reach are DLC for the MCC, which regularly goes for 60% off.

I didnt get an Xbox One until the Xbox One X. It was a great system. The ONE X should have been the whole system all along. The old VCR XBO is pretty bad, but the one X and the S are decent, best of all, the GAMES are great and perform better on ONE X and Series X so, even if you are stuck with the VCR XBO, your games will get better as you upgrade hardware. Reminds me of PC. Pretty cool, your games evolve with the hardware so to speak. Great vid guys!

Quantum Break is an awesome game really enjoyed it. I would recommend Forza Motorsport or Forza Horizon. Even Crackdown 3 was really fun. But when it comes to 3rd party games. Mafia 3, Fallout 4, Doom 2016, or even Skyrim. I know gamers will still be playing Skyrim in 2023.

I’m happy to see Sunset Overdrive get some love. That game is just pure fun! The launch of the Xbox One (IMO) was fantastic. I would also include Ryse: Son of Rome, ReCore, and Crackdown 3. All cheap and can be found easily. The movement mechanics of ReCore is amazing. Ryse has such a cool story. I know Crackdown 3 had its issues with a delayed launch, but it’s worth the heavily discounted price.

Gears 4 is so good. There's an early variant that I've seen floating around with a download code for 1,2,3 and judgement. You'd be surprised how many codes I find unused in the wild

75% of those 10 games i agree but there are 3 games i think i would rather replace (gears 5 because it’s on series x, bioshock because it’s multiplatform and the 360 versions work on the xbone and red dead because it’s multiplatform as well). Three games i rather put instead: Recore - it’s xbox one console exclusive (still on pc) and made by the creator of mega man Killer Instinct 2013 - one of the best fighting games from last generation and still xbox one console exclusive (also on pc). Zoo Tycoon 2013 - this one have a 360 version as well but the xbox one version is the best version. I wanted to put battletoads here originally but it’s digital only, also i like the xbox one but i think there is no reason to own it if you have series x and the reason why the prices are so low for games because game pass devalues a lot of the physical versions.

Scott and Alex couldn’t play the Halo master chief collection. It was absolutely broken. Not sure if something happened in the download but they tried a few time 🤷🏼‍♀️ Quantum Break looks really cool. I know we have it, just haven’t tried it yet…might have to now. Anything Gears in a damn good time! Anything Halo (for the most part) is a pretty good time too!

The only thing wrong with master chief collection is the massive amount of hard drive space it takes up and the confusing system of repeated announcements that you can’t seem to mute. 💫 The launch of that collection was a complete disaster as well.

Btw, MCC (physically or digitally) doesn't actually come with Reach or ODST, they're technically DLC. But they're really cheap. The PC release includes both of them though. MCC is 100% worth it over the 360 games, it has a ton of new content, multiplayer servers are still online, and the custom game browser. It's also cheaper than buying the 360 ports separately and the games run much better. The framerate is locked at 60 (except in the H2A campaign or in split) and the resolution is 1080p or 4k on One X. The Xbox One controller is much more precise as well, it's really hard going back to 360 after playing it. Also, if you want to try any of these games before taking the plunge, almost all of them are on Game Pass. I'm working on RDR2 and am near the start, definitely has a lot of tutorials ATM. Halo 5 is also a technical showcase, incredible that they got it to run as smooth as it does, even on the original VCR.

On the rare replay, while the clip was playing in background, you didn’t mention the battletoads arcade they ported on there. That was not ported to any console… I’m not even sure if it was released in US. It is surprisingly violent and graphic. Definitely need to check out if you haven’t and especially if you enjoy 90s best-em-ups.

Halo 5 guardians is acually really fun especially the multiplayer which is stll very active at first i didnt like it at first but it grew on me is it the best halo game no but it's fun for what it is and sunset overdrive is so funny and the rare replay will have Goldeneye 007 soon and they said it was going to be free for those who own rare replay.

Have to repeat myself. Very likable channel and this again is some nice content with an interesting list. Really enjoyable to watch... and yeah, absolutely have to agree on Rare Replay (plus the HD Version of Goldeneye for free). Great value for money if you're a bit into retro and pixel stuff. From my point of view, the one game that any Xbox One owner needs to pick up must be Witcher III and its two DLCs. Just a couple of dollars for 150 hours of fun. And I do not even like open world games, but this was brillant. Witcher III brought me back to gaming like Mass Effect did a gen earlier and was the system seller to me after the disappointment that ME Andromeda was, unfortunately. Cheers guys! Great system, still feel absolutely no need to buy a Series X at all.
