The more I get comfortable with Pro-Q 3, the more I come to this video. It helps me truly grasp the power and diversity of this EQ. I never thought I would upgrade from using Live's EQ eight (and I do still use it) but Pro-Q 3 is officially part of the workflow. Cheers Reid.

For a long time, I didn't spend a thought of having Fabfilter Q2 or Q3 now ("well, another plugin" ...). But ever since I pulled the trigger on it during a sale, it's my go-to-workhorse for almost everything. It's so easy and convenient to use. Thanks Reid, great tips.

frequency dependant expansion and de-essing are also two awesome tasks for pro q!! also there is the little button that makes bell shapes more "vintage", and by right clicking on eq points you can change the slope of them, which also can be very useful for certain tasks.

Oldie but Goldie learned a lot, Thanks Reid! I always wondered what those purple frequencies with that hovering trick was but now I know :) Also something that was interesting was when you solo'd the bands to hone in on the frequencies at 2:24 to 2:34 it reminded me of something a lot of famous artists do which is to have some parts of the vocal played with a cabinet type effect at certain parts. It was really musical sounding when you just switched frequencies to showcase the feature but it somewhat worked for the track as well! Really cool effect to have on the hook, I think I've heard Kanye and other rap-artists do something similar. Anyways, Cheers!
