The reason it is called Deoxys is because its the DNA pokemon, DNA standing for DEOXYribonucleic acid, so the fact Defence Normal and Attack spell out DNA is mere coincidence, baring in mind it's a Japanese game, and things translate differently.

Deoxys is obtainable in Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire as one of the required Pokémon to catch in the said game plus it is the only Mythical Pokémon to be caught normally in order to complete the National Pokédex. In Which the others are not required to catch them in order to complete.

Hey this might sound crazy but I thought I put it out there. Basically both entries talk about how Dexoys "was a space virus til a laser beam stuck it & mutated it" & that "it fell to earth & mutated shorty after" but the scenes during 4:13 matched up with the entries to where I thought that maybe, at least in the ORAS timeline, Rayquaza & the player created Dexoys? Think about it - What are the odds that a random laser is gonna hit a random meteor that contains the space virus that eventually gives birth to Dexoys? - At 4:35 as Rayquaza pierces the meteor, doesn't he look a bit like a laser beam, especially to the people back on the ground? - The meteors that Rayquaza devours contain a bit of Infinity energy (aka a Pokemon's life force) and usually when a Pokemon mega evolves, it releases a burst of it once it finishes. In Rayquaza's case, it's eaten enough meteors to where it radiating infinity energy nonstop which its how it's able to mega evolve without a stone. Now as Mega Rayquaza pierces the meteor containing the space virus, what if the infinity energy it radiates triggers its mutation, thus giving birth to Dexoys? I'm not sure how Dexoys is created in RSE timeline, but if infinity energy is the trigger, it must have been exposed to it at a slower pace unlike in the ORAS timeline. Anyway, this is off the top of my head, so i probably missed some things but what do you guys think? Could it be possible?

Aight. So, I also have a theory. So, like it said in the video, deoxys was a space virus, being hit with a lazer beam resulting as deoxys. When you think about it, you know the pokemon Starmie(as well as Staryu), right? Starmie also happens to have a crystalline object in its chest, Starmie is also genderless, and literally, both Deoxys and Starmie can regenerate as long as the organ in its chest isn't damaged. I looked at a few pokedex entries about Starmie. In Fire red, it says (in a part) "locals suspect that it is an alien creature" also in Diamond, Pearl and Platinum say it sends out radio signals into outer space. I think that Staryu/Starmie is just a different form of Deoxys.
