It wasn't dwelt on too badly here, but I've seen people lose their minds over the Cell-jr using tribeam. My reasoning is it doesn't really matter if Cell had Tien's cells in him or not, he had GOKU'S cells in him...the same Goku that as a child saw the Kamehameha wave performed once and immediately performed it himself. In addition Cell had a front row seat in watching Tien fire the tribeam so he had a clear view of the technique.

To address some of the confusion on 6:25 on how cell killed trunks twice yet trunks killed cell twice. Theres 3 cells and 2 future trunks (so far). *Each timeline refers to an alternate reality* Timeline A: the main timeline we watched as a kid, goku gets his antidote from future trunks (B) and fights cell (C) after krillin destroys cell (A) Timeline B: trunks (B) goes to the past after android 17 & 18 (B) destroy most of civilization; this is also the same one in the future trunks special (with future Gohan) and the Zamasu arc from DBSuper Timeline C: future trunks (C) is killed by cell (C) on his way to give goku the antidote, this is so that cell (C) can absorb android 17 & 18 (A) Essentially the cell that goku fights had killed the trunks of timeline C, so that he can absorb the androids of the main timeline A, but was met by trunks from timeline B. Now about the killing part. Trunks (B) upon returning to the future, kills cell (B) as well as 17 & 18 (B). Trunks (B) also helped krillin destroy cell (A) so that the main timeline wont have to deal with another cell. Cell (C) killed trunks (C) before that timeline C version could go to the past. So cell (C) came to the main timeline, and then along the path he killed trunks (B). Hopefully it makes sense, theres a video on youtube called dragonball in 20 minutes (or something like that) which explains this better

The way I always though about Cell's regeneration is that he can do so from any cell of his body but at a big cost in energy. Just like how Piccolo drain his power to restore a limb it cost a lot for Cell to regrow his upper torso. His "core" on the other hand can regenerate his entire body at full power and the self destruct is designed to protect the core. When Goku blew up Cell's upper body he could have defeated Cell on his own without SSJ2 if he had taken a senzu bean before Cell regenerated because Cell's power dropped by a huge chunck. I even think that if it had been a random cell from his foot that survived the self destruct instead of his core it would have taken Cell a long time to recover in the same way it took him years to come back from his larva state when he used the time machine. It's the core that allowed him to regenerate so quickly at full power.

The thing though on number 10, the new explanation is another plot hole. Remember when android 16 ripped off Cell's tail? Wouldn't there be 2 Cells if every cell in his body can regenerate his whole body?
