I can remember my grandmother being so happy sometime in the 60’s when burgundy was a fall fashion color. I think that was the first time I became aware of colors coming in and out of fashion. This may be why I love burgundy also!

I didn't think I'd like the barrel style but decided to give them a try and purchased the Free People Moxie jeans. They are less exaggerated than some of the other cuts, look great and one of the few pairs that fit without causing pain in my thighs and groin.

Love your channel! Lydia Tomlinson styles subtle barrel leg trousers with slim silhouette slim tank on top and cropped jackets w ballet flats or Mary Jane’s or kitten heal looks great! A subtle barrel works like a flare jean in that it makes those of us who are tall and straight look like we have more of a waist. I have one pair I love from Everlane in ecru. They have slant pockets in front - trouser style and the slant is pulled slightly forward so the pockets don’t gap. They are one their top selling jeans - again this is not an exaggerated version.

I have warm, light-olive skin and can't wear burgundy, but I found an elbow-length sleeved sweater in cinnabar the other week. I have so missed that beautiful color. I already have a closet full of olive green, as it never goes out of style for me. I lived in linen trousers (and joggers) this summer, too, and am wearing them again come spring. I love my Extreme Seam pants by ME&EM, which are definitely more of a barrel shape. They fit my triangle/pear body shape well, are comfortable, and I get compliments on them every single time I wear them. Hi Erin. Love your travel packing videos! I’m flying to Ft Collins CO in October and Google says to expect 30’s-60’s temps. We’ll be doing outdoor sightseeing, casual dining, shopping, and maybe taking in a college football game. I used to say no on the barrel jeans until I found the right milder barrel! Never say never! The key is to expose enough ankle and to find a milder barrel. Once you find the one, you'll never want to wear any other shape. I love my barrel!!

Also maybe fur, but I’m small and can easily be overwhelmed. Would you consider doing a video on sneakers in 2024/25 please? I have a beautiful Portland Leather burgandy purse and two pair of burgandy tennis shoes, one a solid, and a Vionic with a print accent. Also burgandy suede jacket and wool trousers.

I find I can wear it either on my lower half in pants/shirts or as a layering piece like a jacket with another color top. It is a very strong color.

Try shoes, bag, accessories that are not next to the face. You can also search for the perfect shade, but that sounds like a lot of work 😂
